Vibhishana is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.
Profile
Origin
Vibhishana (Sanskrit: विभीषणFormidable, romanized Vibhishaṇa) is a central figure in the ancient Indian epic Ramayana. He is the younger brother of Ravana, the ten-headed Rakshasa king of the island fortress Lanka. Despite being a Rakshasa himself, Vibhishana was known for his faithfulness to dharma. When Ravana abducted Sita, the wife of Rama, Vibhishana strongly disapproved of his actions and demanded he return her. However, Ravana refused, leading Vibhishana to turn against his brother and join Rama's side. During the ensuing Battle at Lanka, Rama was aided by Vibhishana for his knowledge of the fortress's defenses, and managed to save Sita by killing Ravana. At the end of the battle, Rama crowned Vibhishana the new king of Lanka.
