Profile

Origin

Venus is a Roman deity associated with beauty and erotic love. She was identified with the Greek goddess Aphrodite, and many of Aphrodite's myths were adapted for Venus; most notably, Aphrodite being Aeneas's mother in Homer's Iliad was given new significance as Roman tradition considered Aeneas to be an ancestor of Romulus, the founder of Rome, and of his brother Remus.
