Please do not include unsourced opinion statements

Hello there. I've reverted some of your edits to Lahmu because they contain opinion statements that are generally irrelevant to an encyclopedic coverage of the subject as well as misinformation. The following text in particular:

His appearance is likely a reference to Japanese erotica, as he is a tentacled monster and Sahori a Japanese schoolgirl. Incidentally, many of the ways Lahmu manipulates Sahori is similar to how real world sexual predators manipulate their victims, such as telling Sahori how special she is to him. He also wears a mask to hide what he really looks like, similar to an online predator hiding their true identity.

While I completely understand your perspective and do personally agree such undertones do exist, Masayuki Doi has actually gone on record regarding his design philosophy for Lahmu, as stated here. As you can see from the design commentary, the basis for his mask and tentacles comes not from erotica but from his mythological depiction as a serpent and as a river god. Therefore, stating that his appearance is a reference to erotica is not just a personal belief (which, while valid, is not appropriate for an encyclopedia) but misinformed. Additionally, real-world sexual violence is an incredibly sensitive topic and should be handled with more tact. I do not mean this to say that discussing a depiction of sexual violence should be censored on this wiki - however, statements here should be properly researched before a claim is made especially with regards to potentially offensive or distressing topics.

In the future, please ensure that additions made to articles are researched before making a claim. I recommend making use of and linking to a source (a source would be an interview, in-game dialogue that directly confirms a statement, creator commentary, and so on) rather than placing unsourced opinion statements onto a page. Future edits that may be contentious and lack a source may also be removed and further action may be taken if this becomes repeat behavior. Thank you for your time. -- Mistiryshak (talk) 16:55, 18 March 2025 (UTC)

I'm sorry if I sounded offensive. I just think that he was based off of them. I feel like there is realism behind Lahmu's character at least. --Masterscatman (talk) 22:50, 18 March 2025 (UTC)
I wouldn't say you were offensive. The main point to keep in mind is that things stated on the wiki have to be researched and verified - we cannot use it to post speculation and opinion. Wikis are informational tools used by many people, most of which don't edit themselves, and many of those people take what they see on a wiki as true. However, when statements that haven't been proven are added, based on personal feelings rather than facts, it might lead to things that aren't true being spread around. We could consider this to be a form of lying, because we haven't been careful enough to make sure that what we're saying reflects the truth. That's why wikis generally don't allow speculation. Because sexual violence is a very sensitive topic, it's especially important not to lie about it, even if it's an accident, because then more people could get hurt. As mentioned before, the best thing to do is to perform proper research and find sources before making a claim. -- Mistiryshak (talk) 01:41, 19 March 2025 (UTC)

Thanks for being nice. I decided to amend the trivia section on another wiki I wrote on after hearing that. I still consider Lahmu to be a metaphor for an online predator but maybe Atlus wasn’t trying to warn us about the dangers of online chatrooms. I wouldn’t mind if they did though..--Masterscatman (talk) 02:48, 19 March 2025 (UTC)

Please use article talk pages + final warning

Hello. I had previously asked you not to use user talk pages to discuss edit disagreements on User:Woodflink's talk page. This was a recurring issue in previous discussions, and it is not considered appropriate conduct. The talk page of a user is for discussion of general edit trends, asking questions specific to a user, project coordination, giving specific feedback, moderation, and so forth. It is not for use to explain your position when a particular editor removes content that goes against the manual of style or features overly speculative or subjective information.

Furthermore, in regards to your specific examples, something being "a plot point" is an objective fact, such as that Lahmu wanted to take the throne, not interpretations of his character such as that he is evil. Lahmu's villainy is characterization, not narrative, which are separate concepts. The profile section of a page allows users to include information about a figure's characterization, but this information is not suitable for trivia, plot summaries, plot summaries or trivia for other characters, and so forth.

As this is something we have had to remind you of repeatedly, please consider this your final warning. While I understand you have the best intentions, we have laid out what the issue with your behavior is in the past, and rather than listening, it appears you are trying to find loopholes in what counts as "objective fact" to pad out the pages of two characters you are interested in with as many minutiae as possible. This is considered a disruptive pattern of behavior as it does not contribute in a meaningful fashion to the mission of a helpful Megami Tensei encyclopedia and a suspension will be issued if it continues. Thank you for your time. -- Mistiryshak (talk) 21:18, 18 February 2026 (UTC)

I’m sorry, it’s been a long time since I last edited the wiki so I don’t remember everything I did. And I didn’t mean to be disruptive. I’ll try to use the profile this time. I just didn’t want to edit war with him.--Masterscatman (talk) 00:37, 19 February 2026 (UTC)
