Profile

A haramaki is a Japanese clothing sash worn around one's belly for fashion or medical reasons. It helps maintain one's body temperature and may improve blood circulation in the area.

The Tora Stomachband contains a picture of Torajirō "Tora" Kuruma, the protagonist of the Japanese movie series Otoko wa Tsurai yo.

The Tora Stomachband is dropped by Ouroboros and is used in the special fusion of Hannya and Girimekhala to create Indra.

Trivia

• Tora's family in Otoko wa Tsurai yo runs a dango shop in Shibamata, the neighborhood around the Buddhist temple Daikyō-ji, also known as Shibamata Taishakuten. As its alternate name indicates, the temple worships Taishakuten, which is Indra's name in Japanese Buddhism. The popularity of the movie series has associated the temple with Tora himself, as well as given it a significant boost in tourism.

Nomenclature

The Tora part of the name is a reference to the character from the movie series. However, due to a mistake Megami Ibunroku Persona: Ikū no Tō Hen instead renders the name Tora with the kanji 虎 (tora, tiger).
