Ryougo Okiura
Ryougo Okiura is a character exclusive to the Shin Megami Tensei III: Nocturne Drama CD. He is a survivor of The Conception and also a half-human, half-demon entity like the Demi-fiend.
Profile
Ryougo is both deeply insecure and prone to violence. He is granted powers by a Blond Child that allow him to survive after the Conception, similar to the Demi-fiend. Fueled by a desire to prove himself to Chiaki Tachibana, his crush, Ryougo is obsessed with becoming strong enough to protect her, and to defeat all who oppose him.
Audio Drama Appearances
Initially, Ryougo is shown to be kind to a fault; his meekness and fear of inconveniencing others earns him constant bullying at school. Naoki Kashima, along with Isamu Nitta and Chiaki Tachibana, arrive to intercept one of these bullying sessions, rescuing Ryougo from another beating. Isamu suggests that Ryougo ought to "show some balls" and start fighting back against the bullies, or else he will "never get a girlfriend"[1]. Chiaki scolds both of them and comments that Ryougo is simply too kind to fight other people.
Ryougo internalizes both Isamu and Chiaki's comments, deciding to pursue power at all costs. As a result, he is cruel to all Demons who ally with him as he navigates the Vortex World, treating them as disposable living shields while accruing his own strength. Ultimately, he is killed by Chiaki herself, who deems him worthless without a Reason of his own. His soul is sent to the Amala Network, where he hears Yuko Takao's voice telling him that he is dead, and that she must bear the sin of creating him through her actions. Ryougo does not seem to hear her, instead speaking as if Chiaki were there; he laments that he only ever wanted to protect her with the power he was given.
