Trivia

• Reiji is the only party member in Megami Ibunroku Persona to not appear in every route of the game, as he does not appear during the Snow Queen Route of the game.
  • Due to all of Reiji's encounters during the Common Route of the game being optional, it is possible to play through the Common Route and Snow Queen Route without ever meeting Reiji.
• Reiji makes a cameo appearance in the Who's Who tv show In Persona 3 on August 18th. He is introduced initially as a man in his 20's with a "sour face," which is immediately recanted and changed to "a handsome salaryman". Trish would then wonder aloud how Reiji got the scar on his forehead, which he's trying in vain to hide with his hair.
• In the Megami Ibunroku Persona Digital Collection book interview, it is revealed that there were two inspirations for Reiji's design, one being Joe the Condor from Science Ninja Team Gatchaman and the other being Hideki Saijo from the 1974 movie adaption of Ai to Makoto.
• In Persona 5 Tactica, the second phase of the Shadow Toshiro boss fight uses a rock remix of his theme titled "Abyss of Despair."
• For the 30th anniversary celebration of the Persona series at Sea Paradise, Reiji was paired with a goblin shark.
