Guanshiyin/Kanzeon,[a] also known as Guanyin/Kannon,[b] is a Bodhisattva in Buddhism. She is an East Asian variation of the Bodhisattva Avalokiteśvara;[c] while Guanyin is depicted as female in East Asia, Avalokiteśvara is traditionally depicted as male in other regions.
Guanyin/Avalokiteśvara is associated with the famous mantra om mani padme hum.
Design
Kanzeon's design is overall similar to Himiko's, but with additional antennas to represent that she has greater information gathering abilities than Himiko.[1]
Gameplay
In Persona 4, Rise starts with Himiko. It transfigures into Kanzeon upon maxing her Social Link.
In Golden, Rise starts with Himiko. It transfigures into Kanzeon upon maxing her Social Link, and can further transfigure into Kouzeon during winter.
