Infusion is a mechanic in Shin Megami Tensei: Liberation Dx2.

Overview

Infusion is a means of upgrading a Demon's stats after being Awakened. It is done in Pandemonium. There are two types of Infusion: normal Infusion and Sin Infusion. Demons can receive both separately. Infusions of either type can be removed by Purging, which requires one of the appropriate Purge Extract per stat point.

Normal Infusion uses Mitama Demons or Mitama Extract as material. Each stat can be incremented by up to 20. Demons that have reached their Infusion cap will have a blue icon next to their level. The Infusion cap is determined by the Demon's base Rarity, with the exception of characters added as part of an Enishi Matsuri event; such as (The Hero, Law Hero, Chaos Hero and Heroine), which have a unique cap:

Demon Infusion cap
★ Demon 100
★★ Demon 80
★★★ Demon 60
★★★★ Demon 50
★★★★★ Demon 50
Enishi Matsuri Character 120

Infusion using Mitama Extract requires 5 of the appropriate Extract per stat point. Infusion using Mitama Demons requires the Mitama to be sacrificed from the player's roster and increments two stats:

Mitama Stats
Ara Mitama St +2, Ag +1
Nigi Mitama Ma +2, Lu +1
Kusi Mitama Ag +2, Vi +1
Saki Mitama Vi +2, Lu +1

Sin Infusion

Sin Infusion uses Essence of Sin as material. Each stat can be incremented by up to 20. Demons that have received any amount of Sin Infusion will have a red icon next to their level, which becomes golden when reaching the maximum amount. If the Demon would also have the normal Infusion icon, half of it will indicate the Demon's Sin Infusion status.

The Sin Infusion cap and cost per stat point depends on the Demon's base Rarity:

Rarity Cost per point Cap
★ 1 240
★★ 1 240
★★★ 2 160
★★★★ 12 80
★★★★★ 16 80
