Ginza is a district that has been seized by the Ring of Gaea as their sacred territory.[1] Individuals who have proven their strength are permitted to enter the district and its nearby areas.[2] Flynn and the other Samurai arrive to Ginza on orders from Tayama to kill Lady Yuriko, the leader of the Ring of Gaea. Shortly upon their arrival, they are directed to Tsukiji Hongwanji immediately outside Ginza, where the Ring of Gaea receive Lady Yuriko's teachings.

Above ground, Downtown Ginza is a large shopping district that is strictly controlled by members of the Ring of Gaea. Sections of the downtown are restricted, with entry permitted only to those who can prove their "strength" in wealth by paying the Ring of Gaea's hefty tolls. Within Downtown Ginza are the Members Only Clubs, specialty boutiques selling expensive items and equipment.
