Eden is a location in Shin Megami Tensei II.
Gameplay
Eden is an explorable area at the top of the Center's headquarters. There are no encounters or battles, only being inhabited by NPCs. Near the end of the game, it hosts the Ark dungeon.

After the Center Elders are overthrown, Zayin and Gabriel construct Eden at the top of the Center's headquarters. Meant to be like the paradise of old,[1] Eden's entrance is guarded by Cherubim, who will not allow Aleph through if he is not Law-aligned. Inside, Gabriel gathers virtuous people who, regardless of their origin or class, have heard God's voice,[2][3][4][5] indicating that they have been chosen to create a new world that embodies a true Millennium Kingdom where everyone can live in peace,[6] unlike the corrupted Millennium Kingdom the Center envisioned. The unvirtuous who were not chosen are barred from entering.[7][8][9]
After Aleph meets Lucifer in Keter Castle, Gabriel takes him to Eden, which is still under construction, to meet with Zayin. Zayin urges Aleph not to heed Lucifer's words, as he wishes to destroy Tokyo Millennium, which, despite the actions of the Elders, is the reason why humanity has survived for so long. He asks Aleph to help him create a true Millennium Kingdom by killing Lucifer and rebuilding Millennium. If Aleph accepts, he is sent to spy on Lucifer's forces at Seth's temple, as Zayin cannot leave Eden while it is still under construction. If Aleph refuses, Zayin finds it regretful that he cannot live in Eden and casts him out, banishing him from paradise just as Adam and Eve were.
Aleph later returns to Eden to either meet with or spy on Zayin. On the Neutral and Chaos routes, Aleph uses Houri's robe to disguise his true alignment and get past the Cherubim. There, several new chosen people have been gathered, and when Aleph locates Zayin, Seth arrives and fuses with him, forming Satan. On the Law route, Satan then joins Aleph's party. On the Neutral and Chaos routes, however, Satan casts Aleph out of Eden once again and launches it into space, revealing Eden to be part of a spaceship, the Megiddo Ark, which, equipped with a weapon prepared by Gabriel,[10] will clease the Earth of every living being on it, which will leave it ready to be repopulated with the people in Eden.[11]
On the Neutral and Chaos routes, Aleph's party boards the Ark to stop this plan. In the Neutral and Chaos endings, Eden is destroyed along with the Ark.[12]
In the Law ending, the Earth is successfully cleansed, making it ready for those in Eden to reinhabit. When the party returns to Eden after defeating YHVH, Satan turns to dust as a result of completing his mission, leaving Aleph and Hiroko determined to create an ideal world with those in Eden as the Megiddo Ark returns to Earth.
