The Detective Journal, also known as the Detective Notebook and Village Teachings, is mechanic that has appeared in Devil Summoner: Raidou Kuzunoha vs. King Abaddon and Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army.
Overview
Gouto will periodically create and update entries within the Detective Journal as Raidou makes progress in his investigation. Updates are made to entries at the beginnings of new chapters and as key plot events occur, including during battles.
In Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army, the Detective Journal is divided into several sub-headers, consisting of Objective, Review Tutorials, Controls & Onscreen Information, multiple specific tutorial sections preceded by the words Summoner Know-How, Progress Reports, Important Terms - Investigation, and Important Terms - General. The instructional portions frequently contain overt indications that they were written from Gouto's perspective. An exception to what would otherwise be Gouto's sole authorship of all entries arises in the Progress Report section, as most episode recaps are recorded by Narumi.
Game Appearances

Raidou Remastered: The Mystery of the Soulless Army
Characters
| Term | Entry |
|---|---|
| Detective Kazama | Year of Birth: 1884 / Age: 47 / Occupation: Sergeant of the Tokyo Police Department, Criminal Investigation Bureau / Height: 173cm / Weight: 69kg / Residence: Chujou-ku / Favorite food: Beer
A detective in the Tokyo Police Department, ranked sergeant. He seems to be an old acquaintance of Narumi. Distinctively arrogant, stubborn, and ill-tempered, but credit where it's due, he's climbed the ranks by putting in the work in the field. Still, the younger generation of the Taisho era find his type to be quite a nuisance. We modern detectives usually cooperate with the police in investigations—the police take the lead, and detectives offer assistance as requested. However, Kazama exhibits annoyance with independent detectives and (perhaps due to his excessive pride as an officer) would rather the police handle investigations on their own. Well, as long as he continues to provide us with useful information, we can put up with his attitude. Let's just say he's overflowing with Spirit when it comes to his job. |
| Dr. Tsukumo | Year of Birth: Unknown (haven't checked) / Age: Likely late fifties / Occupation: Self-proclaimed scientist / Height: 180cm / Weight: 96kg / Residence: Amazing Science Lab (a shack on the riverbank in Senju-ku) / Favorite food: Beef bowl / Ideal partner: Unknown (intentionally haven't checked) / Interests: Development of a new transportation system (thus his research into rockets and other flying objects)
A self-proclaimed scientist with a carefree personality, for better or worse. Has no interest in anything outside his research. His lifelong dream is to launch his own rocket into space. He has the Spirit to wholeheartedly pursue this dream, and to that end, he is not above living in a shabby dwelling. He may seem unapproachable at first due to his overzealous nature, but he appears well-liked by those around him. People like Dr. Tsukumo are often laughed at or ridiculed, but in the end, they are the ones who forge new eras. Excuse me while I indulge in my own musings. Someone like Dr. Tsukumo will forge the new era and those like Kiyoshi Daidouji and Denpachi Iida will protect it. Everyone may be different, but that simply means we each have our own roles. Humanity would do well to recognize that. |
| Dr. Victor | Year of Birth: 1810 / Age: Apparently 120 / Occupation: Head of the Goumaden / Height: 191cm / Weight: 95kg / Residence: Goumaden, located in the basement of Konnou-ya in Tsukudo-cho, Yarai-ku / Favorite food: Doesn't seem to eat / Ideal partner: No interest / Interests: The creation of life / Special note: I've heard his blood type is B.
A scientist and alchemist fascinated with the creation of life. One might call him the Prometheus of the Taisho era. Extremely pale and averse to sunlight. Rumors among Devil Summoners suggest he took the blood of vampires and has become one himself (it honestly wouldn't surprise me if that were true). Supposedly, he discovered the essence of invoking deities in Noh theater (serving as the prototype of demon fusion) while conducting global research, and thus decided to settle in the Imperial Capital. Of course, in researching the creation of life, the topic of demons is bound to come up, for they are veritable chimeras, exhibiting all manner of shapes and sizes. Victor's progression down this particular path is what led to his eventual cooperation with the Kuzunoha clan. Specifically, we Devil Summoners allow Victor to study our demon allies (assured that he will not do anything dubious to the demons), and in exchange, he performs demon fusions for us free of charge. However, he does charge a fee for performing Sword Alchemy despite the fact that he gains data from the materials used in the process (he claims it's to pay for utilities). He will also charge for services such as healing and allowing use of the Devil Chart—an apparent necessity to cover the costs of his research. In addition to our arrangement, he also has a cohabitation agreement with Konnou-ya whereby he introduces the owner to trade partners he made in his travels around the world in exchange for free lodging. Victor has truly thought of everything. One more thing to note is he has no official assistants in the Goumaden—he apparently uses demons instead. |
| Denpachi Iida | Year of Birth: 1898 / Age: 32 / Occupation: Ryugu's designated rickshaw runner / Height: 166cm / Weight: 62kg / Residence: A skid row lodging in Fukagawa-cho, Senju-ku / Favorite food: Raw egg on rice / Ideal Parnter: A big-hearted person / Interests: The whereabouts of his sister Shizu, who eloped
The designated rickshaw runner for Ryugu. Uses an Edo dialect. A sincere man who loves his sister. After losing both parents early on, he earnestly dove into the rickshaw-running business to both provide for his sister, Shizu, as well as to find pride in honest work. However, the recent rise of the automobile caused a decline in customers, which exacerbated his already poor situation. To make matters worse, his sister eloped with a taxi driver. The stark difference between his ideal world and the current reality weighs heavy on his heart. P.S. This mental strain seems to have been the catalyst for his transformation into a Red Cape. Having lost both his job and his sister (or so he thought), he came to despise taxis and carried out a series of taxi attacks that terrorized Ginza-cho. However, thanks to the Spirit of his family and some help from Raidou, he was able to become human once again. |
| Elfman | A foreigner who, together with Harada Co. (an international trade company run by the owner of Ryugu's family: her father and older brother), managed all of the shipping in Harumi-cho, Kotou-ku. After Harada's son died, Elfman gained a bad reputation for driving out the Japanese merchants and securing a monopoly over port activity in Harumi-cho. He now holds significant influence in the area.
Upon further investigation, it was determined that Elfman had already been dead for some time. His body was buried in the foreigners' cemetery. Furthermore, the culprit is the Dark Summoner, Rasputin, who is believed to have killed Elfman before assuming his identity to monopolize the port activity in Harumi-cho, as previously mentioned. Thus, it seems the negative rumors around Elfman were actually due to Rasputin. Before his untimely demise, Elfman gave a ring to the owner of Ryugu. The intention behind this action is still unclear. |
| Goto | Year of Birth: Probably the same as mine / Age: Probably the same as mine / Occupation: Partner to the current Raidou Kuzunoha, same as me / Height: 40cm, minus the tail (if the same as me) / Weight: A little under 3kg (if the same as me) / Residence: Not sure / Favorite food: Probably steamed mackerel (certainly not catnip... I would think) / Interests: Probably witnessing the growth of Raidou Kuzunoha XIV
Acts alongside the other Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, who lives in an apparent parallel world. In other words, another me. Do I really speak like that, though? And is that what I'm truly like? This Goto seems to me to be lacking affection. That can't be particularly productive. Raido will quickly get sick of him at this rate. |
| Gouto | Year of Birth: Forgot / Age: No use remembering / Occupation: Partner to the current Raidou Kuzunoha / Height: 40cm, minus the tail / Weight: A little under 3kg / Residence: Living with Raidou Kuzunoha XIV at the Narumi Detective Agency in Yarai-ku / Favorite food: Steamed mackerel (certainly not catnip) / Interests: Witnessing the growth of Raidou Kuzunoha XIV
Official name is Number 1-48. Due to certain circumstances, his soul now inhabits the body of a black cat, though he stands out among more pedestrian cats thanks to his jade eyes. Currently acting alongside Raidou Kuzunoha XIV, as ordered by the Kuzunoha clan. Can accurately measure one's height and weight at a glance (likely superfluous information, but noting it just in case). Offers advice to Raidou with a tendency to go slightly overboard at times. Because Gouto has a deep understanding of the dangers involved with the duties of a Devil Summoner, he champions the importance of remaining cautious when carrying out missions and wishes to instill this same mindset in Raidou, though this otherwise positive characteristic can occasionally have the unintended consequence in overindulging in instruction and other chatter (hence why this sentence is so long). As Gouto is not actually a cat, he has full command of human speech. However, only Devil Summoners and demons can understand him—ordinary humans hear only the cacophony of an everyday cat when he speaks. His speech pattern is somewhat old-fashioned, which contains implications as to his approximate age, but further information on this topic is both unnecessary and frankly awkward to write about, so let's move on. The name "Gouto-Douji" can be interpreted as "one who fights while bearing the burden of having disregarded the rules." This refers to the apparent violation of precepts of the Kuzunoha and consequent retribution. As for the truth of the matter... perhaps I'll fill you in some other time. |
| Herald of Yatagarasu | Year of Birth: Unknown / Age: Unknown / Occupation: Liaison between Yatagarasu and the Capital / Height: 158cm (about 165cm with geta sandals) / Weight: No opportunity to check / Residence: Unknown (likely not the Nameless Shrine) / Favorite food: Unknown (no personal details available) / Ideal partner: Unknown (no personal details available) / Interests: National stability
A messenger of Yatagarasu tasked with relaying messages and delivering supplies to Devil Summoners (specifically the Kuzunoha clan, mainly Raidou). Can be reached at the Nameless Shrine in Shinoda, west of the Capital. Always wears a black cloak that covers the eyes and obscures the face. Voice and manner of speech seem to resemble a young woman's, though I cannot be certain. Knowledgeable in magic, including the ability to perform the Ritual of Entry, allowing Raidou access to the Dark Realm all over the Capital. The Herald of Yatagarasu is indispensable for us in carrying out our duties and investigations. |
| Kaya Daidouji | Year of Birth: 1915 / Age: 16 / Occupation: Fourth-year at Ouran High / Height: about 155cm / Weight: About 42kg / Residence: Daidouji estate in Yarai-ku / Favorite food: Special pudding prepared by butler Nakamura
A girl who left behind the words "I want you to kill me" before being kidnapped by demons. She is a central figure in our current case, and quite a mysterious one at that. She belongs to the wealthy Daidouji family in the Capital and is the only daughter of Takeshi Daidouji, the head of the family. She seems like a purehearted girl. Unfortunately, she seems to be greatly troubled by something. Right before her abduction, she mentioned something else strange: "I'm almost sixteen." We have determined the meaning behind Kaya's esoteric wordage. According to her classmate Rin (who had previously obtained this information from Kaya herself), daughters of the Daidouji family are afflicted with a curse by which, upon turning sixteen, they become possessed by a demon. Relatedly, Kaya has apparently sung the following song to herself: "The mother, the father—earth between. The demon's blood whole again. In the abyss, its blood must be slain." Rin suspects that the "abyss" mentioned in the song refers to the basement of the Daidouji Residence. As it happens, Rin's suspicions were justified—it seems Kaya was kept in a prison underneath the Daidouji Residence. According to the journal that she left behind, her uncle, Kiyoshi Daidouji, as well as the mansion staff, were involved with her imprisonment. Later, we found Kaya at the subterranean shipyard beneath Cannon Battery #4 where Raidou managed to rescue her from Major General Munakata. She is currently under our protection. With nowhere else to go (she'd be killed upon returning home due to the Daidouji's tradition of murdering their supposedly possessed daughters, but she'd be at risk of being recaptured by Munakata anywhere else), she has ended up working at the Narumi Detective Agency at Narumi's recommendation (I, for one, welcome it—she brings some much-needed liveliness to the place). I knew something felt off. Kaya took the EL 200 and has disappeared with it. It seems the "demon" had already possessed her. According to Munakata, this "demon" is actually a "time traveler from the future" with knowledge of "super" technology that shouldn't currently exist, and this knowledge has been brought to the people of the past (ourselves and our contemporaries) as supposed "prophecies." (It is clear to me now that the time traveler's "prophesized" technology and knowledge from the future is what propelled the Daidouji family business to prosperity. As far as the Daidouji family is concerned, delivery of this knowledge constituted genuine prophecies.) Unfortunately, the true identity of this time traveler has been revealed as one of your own lineage, Raidou Kuzunoha XL. (See the entry on "Daidouji Family" for more information on the workings of the supposed "demon possession.") |
| Kenzo Satake | Year of Birth: 1887 / Age: 43 / Occupation: Yakuza / Height: 188cm / Weight: 87kg / Residence: Refuses to tell. Some rumors suggest he lives in a bathtub in Daikoku-yu. / Favorite food: Bottle of cider (preferably chilled) following a bath / Ideal partner: A woman with determination / Interests: Fervidly addressing any misfortunes that befall his turf (Senju-ku).
The young captain of the Kanto Haguro Family, a yakuza group. Also serves as the face of Senju-ku. Always in the know regarding happenings within the Capital. Detectives these days often rely on informants like him. His appearance—specifically the Daikokuten on his back and wooden amulet around his neck—leaves quite an impression. When not bathing, he regularly wears a haori with the Haguro Family's name on the back (between the Daikokuten and his yakuza family name, the man carries a lot on his back). His speech mannerisms are quite unlike those of other Capital residents. He is thought to be native to Kansai, but he won't confirm (he doesn't seem much for talking about himself). He can reliably be found enjoying a bath at Daikoku-yu in Fukagawa-cho, Senju-ku, and commands authority over a broad area. Public bathhouses are social gathering places of the modern era (Taisho), making them ideal locations for gathering local information. Furthermore, anyone wishing to meet with him in the bathhouse would be naturally obliged to be unarmed (completely naked)— |
| Kiyoshi Daidouji | Year of Birth: 1888 / Age: 42 / Occupation: Businessman / Height: 169cm / Weight: 75kg / Residence: Daidouji estate in Yarai-ku / Favorite food: White fish tempura / Ideal partner: (now's not the time to look into this) / Interests: The plight of the family-owned factory, his niece Kaya (may know more about her than he lets on)
Uncle of the currently missing Kaya Daidouji and younger brother of Takeshi, the head of the Daidouji family. Runs the Daidouji Textiles factory. He looks good-natured enough, but may not be entirely reliable. He seems to be amassing an increasing debt related to the factory. And, according to what we believe to be Kaya's journal, he hasn't been his usual good-natured self lately, raising his voice on the phone and whatnot. It also seems apparent that Kiyoshi is involved with Kaya's abduction. Additionally, Kiyoshi appears to be connected with someone in the military. Since a young age, Kiyoshi had always been compared to his more capable older brother. As a result, he developed an inferiority complex which evidently continues to plague him. In an act of attempted compensation, he tried to run the factory without his brother's help. However, he got swept up in the wave of mechanization and mass production at the time, and the factory was ultimately forced to close. Kiyoshi is often called "the lousy Daidouji" behind his back. Though he is kind and considerate, others tend to perceive him as simply indecisive. It's no wonder he seems to be so tormented. (I deplore the aspects of our culture that insist on making the honest types out to be fools.) No longer able to bear his situation, Kiyoshi transformed into a Red Cape. However, with Raidou's aid, along with encouragement from his factory's workers, he reclaimed his Spirit and returned to human form. |
| Lord Takagi | The leader of Yatagarasu (though "leader" may be too lowly a word). Everything about this individual is shrouded in secrecy.
Naturally, those of low standing (such as ourselves) should not expect the privilege of being entrusted with substantive information about, let alone holding an audience with, Lord Takagi (which is why my heart nearly stopped when we were granted such audience in the Purification Ritual). Takagi is "the chief god of Yatagarasu, and serves as a guide for other gods," or so the Herald of Yatagarasu says. It may be improper to mention this, but I am noting it down for the Fourteenth's sake: I have a foolish theory that Takagi is Takamimusubi-no-Kami, one of the three creation gods, who also goes by "Takagi-no-Kami." If this is true, then Takagi had a hand in the creation of heaven and earth—an idiosyncratic god from a time before the distinction between man and woman, and parent to many other gods, including the sun and moon. P.S. I can't help but wonder how someone so illustrious would be unable to dispel a single demon's curse. Perhaps it was intentional inaction. (These are the types of conspiracies I think up when my mind is idle. Anyhow, we best get back to work.) |
| Munakata | *Information partially borrowed from Sadakichi's files
Year of Birth: 1884 / Age: 46 at death / Occupation: Imperial Army Major General / Height: 172cm / Weight: 73kg / Residence: Reportedly staying at an Army-related facility, but unconfirmed / Favorite food: His wife's homemade cooking / Ideal partner: Already married (unlikely that he imagined a separate ideal partner, for it would have been detrimental to his family life) / Interests: When he was alive, it was strengthening the nation / Special Note: Had his body taken over by the demon Sukuna-Hikona. As such, he can no longer be considered human. Army Major General with a standoffish yet stalwart demeanor. Rising tensions the world over fueled his concern for his home country, and so he designed plans to create the Super Soldier army, which called for the production of super battleships, super tanks, and super lasers, among other undoubtedly "super" apparatuses. The man is at the center of a number of rumors. These include his supposed knowledge of magic, apparent command over a menacing assemblage of soldiers, and alleged intent to secretly eliminate anyone who may impede fruition of the Super Soldier Project. A number of those who know Munakata seem to agree that he is a strikingly different person now than he had been previously. Apparently, he used to be a trustworthy man who cared about his men. But one day, his personality suddenly changed. He also developed an unusual habit of covering his mouth with his hand when he speaks. It seems he had Kaya Daidouji kidnapped because his Super Soldier Project necessitates the power of "super" technology. Details are currently under investigation. As part of the ongoing feud between the Amatsukami and Kunitsukami, Sukuna-Hikona took over Munakata's body with the intent of repurposing the Super Soldier Project. |
| Narumi | Year of Birth: 1898 / Age: 32 / Occupation: Head of the Narumi Detective Agency / Height: 180cm / Weight: 68kg / Residence: The Narumi Detective Agency in Yarai-ku / Favorite food: Coffee and hashed beef rice / Ideal partner: "Long hair, maybe" (clearly hasn't given it much thought)
The head of the Narumi Detective Agency and officially Raidou's superior. Always wears his derby hat. "Fun and easy living" are the words he lives by, and it certainly shows. At first glance, he seems irresponsible and evasive, but in truth, he carries a strong Spirit, always rushing to the aid of those in need and standing up to whoever would trample the less fortunate underfoot. He has amassed an extensive network of connections, so it would seem he's no ordinary detective. In fact, it turns out he used to be an intelligence officer (a spy) for the Imperial Army. During this time, he was involved in the military's internal faction wars and ultimately (though inadvertently) became one of the reasons behind Munakata's fall from power. |
| Owner of Konnou-ya | Year of Birth: 1867 / Age: 63 / Occupation: Konnou-ya shopkeeper / Height: 170cm / Weight: 62kg / Residence: Konnou-ya in Tsukudo-cho, Yarai-ku / Favorite food: Dessert banana at his go-to Western eatery (probably Tawara-ya) / Interests: Money and collecting art
The owner of the antique shop Konnou-ya. The store has done business in the Capital for several generations and the current owner is a distant descendant of the founder (I think, I haven't really looked into it). So enthused is he with his business that he carries his account book with him at all times. His only interests seem to be money (to the point you might call him greedy) and collecting art. He's almost unsettlingly friendly to customers who tend to purchase large quantities of goods, and hardly speaks to those who don't. Though generally miserly, he does spend handsomely when it comes to artwork (one can only hope this level of unnecessary expense doesn't hurt his business's future success). While many of his patrons don't exactly operate aboveboard, he seems uninterested in his customers' backgrounds, and is unaware that Raidou is a Devil Summoner. He rents the basement of his store to Dr. Victor (although Victor doesn't seem to actually pay rent, but instead supplies the owner with access to rare items from overseas), but he has no idea who Victor is or that the basement has been remodeled so extensively. He truly seems to have little to no interest in other people (or non-people, for that matter). |
| Owner of Ryugu | Year of Birth: 1901 / Age: 29 / Occupation: Owner of Ryugu / Height: 162cm / Weight: 48kg / Residence: Ryugu in Chujou-ku / Favorite food: Western liquor (influenced by a certain foreigner) / Ideal partner: Already married (maiden name is Harada) / Interests: Harada Co.'s management, settling the tabs of regular customers (Narumi)
Manages Ryugu in the Ginza-cho suburbs of Chujou-ku. Quite a fearless woman. Unable to see eye to eye with her father (who ran a trading company in Harumi-cho, Kotou-ku), she left her birth home and started Ryugu, now a favored establishment by important figures in politics, business, and the military. (Narumi apparently frequents Ryugu seeking information from said important figures, hence his ever-increasing tab.) The owner of Ryugu's father has since passed away, and her brother recently died in an unexpected shipping accident. The family business has consequently been left to her, and she has taken it upon herself to simultaneously manage both Ryugu and Harada Co. Note: There are rumors that she was once involved in a romatic relationship with a foreigner named Elfman. |
| Owner of Shin-Sekai | Year of Birth: 1871 / Age: 59 / Occupation: Owner and bartender at Shin-Sekai Soda Joint / Height: 169cm / Weight: 64kg / Residence: Residential area within the same building as Shin-Sekai / Favorite food: Imported dried pistachio nuts / Ideal partner: Quote, "Very funny. I'm married." / Interests: Goings-on in the Summoner world... or so I assumed, but his policy is to "not to meddle in the affairs of my patrons."
Owner of the Shin-Sekai Soda Joint, a hole-in-the-wall restaurant in Ginza-cho, Chujou-ku. Beyond his composed demeanor, he gives off an intimidating air exclusive to those acutely familiar with both the good and bad of this world. He is certainly mysterious. He has ties to Yatagarasu and supports Devil Summoners through his business, but little else is known about him. (Which has never bothered me, although that may be partly due to the fact that he's so adept at creating a comfortable atmosphere for his customers that he easily blends into the background. Even someone such as myself, who's survived many life-or-death encounters, can forget he's there if not careful. He's almost like a ninja in this respect.) Additionally, he is able to create sodas with empowering effects, so he is certainly no ordinary civilian, but I'm not one to pry into one's private affairs. |
| Raido Kuzunoha XIV | Year of Birth: unknown / Age: Should be late teens / Occupation: Devil Summoner (unknown if he works for the Narumi Detective Agency) / Height: 175cm / Weight: 65kg / Residence: Not sure / Favorite food: Should be daigaku-imo / Ideal partner: Should not be a concern, as his first priority is his duty / Interests: Seems to be protecting the Capital (that's a relief)
Another Raidou Kuzunoha XIV who lives in an apparent parallel world. The scar on his face distinguishes him from my Raidou, and it leaves quite an impression. As that scar implies, the parallel world is different from ours, despite appearing similar. This would partially explain Raido's harsher personality. Special note: In Raido's timeline, the current era is "Showa." Perhaps that means the Taisho era has already ended in his world. Rasputin and Kaya's possessor did mention that our timeline is an "anomaly" that deviated from other versions of history. The differing eras between timelines is likely related to this. |
| Raidou Kuzunoha XIV | Year of Birth: unknown / Age: Late teens / Occupation: Devil Summoner & detective apprentice / Height: 175cm / Weight: 65kg / Residence: The Narumi Detective Agency in Yarai-ku / Favorite food: Daigaku-imo with lots of honey / Special note: Offered his real name to the Kuzunoha clan and took on the name Raidou Kuzunoha XIV.
Raidou Kuzunoha XIV is calm and quiet, or perhaps just overly shy. (Yes, I'm talking about you, the one reading this notebook). The name "Raidou" comes from one of the "Four Devil Summoners," who are credited with laying the foundation of the Kuzunoha clan along with its founder. The name's origin has a long history that supposedly dates back to the Asuka period, and the Raidou lineage is associated with the belief systems of Shintoism and Onmyodo. In order to assume the name of Raidou, one must endure rigorous training in the village of Kuzunoha. Currently, the Raidou name is sitting in its 14th generation. (However, accounting for these generations by merely counting to fourteen would be to oversimplify matters. Devil Summoners can use the power of Magnetite to extend or shorten their life spans, and there was even a time when the name was not succeeded.) Most Devil Summoners who assume the name of Raidou are tasked with safeguarding the Capital. Outwardly, Raidou XIV (you) is but a detective apprentice at the Narumi Detective Agency. His real work, however, is that of a Devil Summoner, accepting orders from the supranationalist organization Yatagarasu (see entry on Yatagarasu) and leveraging his position as a detective to gather whatever information may be necessary in helping him purge the real world of demons. Beneath his cloak, he carries several demon-slaying tools: a sword engraved with the Kuzunoha crest on its handle, a specially-made gun, and multiple tubes for sealing demons. (Due to the secret nature of his true occupation, it would be unwise for him to risk revealing his equipment, and so he can't remove his cloak, even in the summer. I feel a bit sorry for him.) Safeguarding the Capital entails defending the lives of its everyday citizens. It is difficult and often thankless work, but it is for this reason that I ask you to focus not on glory, but rather on the much more noble goal of simply keeping the peace. In uneventful times, Raidou XIV regularly attends Yumizuki High. However, as a result of the duties attached to his name, it may be difficult to form and maintain lasting relationships with his fellow classmates. In lieu of this, I would urge you to seek satisfaction in your studies, and in the knowledge that they will prove beneficial not only for your education, but in the shaping of your character. |
| Rasputin | Year of Birth: Around 1870, but the details are murky / Age: Unknown (supposedly, he died at age 47 some years ago) / Occupation: Dark Summoner / Height: 187cm / Weight: 230kg (makes more sense now, knowing he's a machine) / Residence: Unknown / Favorite food: Vodka / Ideal partner: Any beautiful woman (what a womanizer…) / Interests: "Earthly" pleasures (… and a lowlife) / Special note: Rumored to have been assassinated several times in the past and returned to life each time (also makes more sense now).
A foreign monk who was reportedly assassinated in 1916. He is a Dark Summoner, and as such does not belong to any particular organization, instead lending his abilities out as a Summoner-for-hire. Rather than using tubes, he contains and summons demons using magical tools called Matryoshkas (also called Death Matrvoshkas). He also created an illusion called the Matrix Labyrinth based on Qi Men Dun Jia, which was a pain to deal with. Notable characteristics include his unique speaking mannerisms and shallow, degenerate nature. He was originally operating in the Capital at the behest of his then-employer, Munakata, and was accordingly associated with the Super Soldier Project. Although he appears human, he is actually an android (a machine that merely looks human) that was sent to the past (Taisho 20) by some supposed authority from the future. The reason Rasputin was purported to have resurrected several times following multiple assassination attempts was due to the fact that he was never actually human to begin with. In short, Rasputin is an automated demon-summoning apparatus. Rasputin was sent to the past with the mission of correcting a "historical anomaly." In the future, it is commonplace for authorities to meddle with the past and other timelines for the sake of protecting their own rule (I always figured it would reach that point, given humanity's insatiable hunger for power). But from the future world's perspective, the existence of Taisho 20 is an outcome that diverges from the expected result—in other words, a product of an anomaly. For the people of the future, this is considered an unfavorable situation that requires correction. As it happens, the source of this particular anomaly is the demon that is possessing Kaya Daidouji, who is also from the future. Digression aside, Rasputin will apparently cease any activity that doesn't keep his interest, including the carrying out of requests that he had previously accepted (such as, in this case, the request from his client in his original timeline). This would explain why he no longer appears to be affiliated with Munakata. As of now, he is simply enjoying himself on vacation in the Capital. |
| Rin | Year of Birth: 1915 / Age: 16 / Occupation: Fourth-year at Ouran High (Kaya's classmate) / Height: 153cm / Weight: 41kg / Favorite food: Fujiko Parlor cakes / Interests: Being a modern girl
Classmate of Kaya Daidouji, who is missing as of the time of writing. Last name unknown, but irrelevant to our current investigation anyway. She is tough and can be blunt, but she has a kind heart and shows immense concern for Kaya. She was pulled into the Dark Realm by Tsuchigumo, but was rescued by Raidou. (The boundary between our world and the Dark Realm has been getting thin lately. It would be problematic if demons continued attacking innocent people. I hope this isn't an omen of worse things to come...) |
| Sadakichi Kohno | Year of Birth: 1899 / Age: 31 / Occupation: Appears as a private in the Army, but is actually an undercover officer in the Navy / Height: 174cm / Weight: 62kg / Residence: Depends on his ongoing mission, but typically stays at a Navy-affiliated facility / Favorite food: Fried Western food such as croquettes and deep-fried cutlets (apparently has the tastebuds of a child) / Interests: Keeping the peace within the military and stopping Munakata's rampage
His appearance as an incompetent soldier in the Army is but a ruse. In actuality, he is an officer in the Navy investigating the Army on orders from the Admiral of the Navy (I suspected as much). He certainly has a harsh side and doesn't shy away from violence. He has focused on the danger posed by Munakata and has thus been working to prevent the Super Soldier Project from coming to fruition ever since discovering its existence. Our goals are aligned in this regard, so as long as that is the case, he is an ally. |
| Shinpei Nakamura | Year of Birth: 1867 / Age: 64 / Occupation: Head butler of the Daidouji family / Height: 160cm / Weight: 58kg / Residence: Daidouji estate in Yarai-ku / Favorite food: Cucumber sandwiches and scones / Interests: Responsibilities as the Daidouji family's butler
Butler to the Daidouji family, of which Kaya Daidouji (who is missing as of the time of writing) belongs. Nakamura served the previous generation of the Daidouji family and is recognized by those around him as the quintessential butler due to his professional demeanor. Though shaken by the deterioration of the head of house, Takeshi, as well as Kaya's disappearance, he continues to manage the Daidouji family's affairs. As a side note, he apparently makes exquisite pudding which Kaya has loved since childhood. |
| Shizu Iida | Year of Birth: 1907 / Age: 24 / Occupation: Indentured servant / Height: 158cm / Weight: 44kg / Residence: The Red-Light District in Fukagawa-cho, Senju-ku / Favorite food: Tea on rice / Ideal partner: The one she falls in love with (I assume her husband) / Interests: Medical expenses for her husband, who is being treated after an accident, and the wellbeing of her older brother Denpachi
Younger sister of Denpachi IIda, a rickshaw runner. Her husband (not officially married as she doesn't have her brother's permission) was seriously injured in a taxi accident while on the job. Suddenly in need of money for her husband's treatment and unable to rely on her brother for support, she has been working as an indentured servant in Fukagawa-cho's Red-Light District. She and Denpachi haven't seen eye to eye since he opposed her marriage. However, not a day passes that she doesn't worry about him. She is also tougher and more mature than her stubborn brother. |
| Tae Asakura | Year of Birth: 1908 / Age: 22 / Occupation: Reporter for the Capital Daily / Height: 160cm / Weight: Nobody's business / Favorite food: Coffee, red-bean sweets, alcoholic drinks / Ideal partner: Someone quiet / Interests: Proving her competence as a journalist
An independent, modern woman. Works as a reporter at the Capital Daily. Her pen name is Kichou Asakura (a reference to a woman she admires), which is intended to make her gender unspecifiable, so as to avoid unfair treatment in her field. She bears an admirable compulsion to determine the truth of any matter. While it is commonplace in the industry to hire helpers, she is competent enough to gather information and write articles on her own. Tae studies folklore out of personal interest and came to frequent the Narumi Detective Agency in the process. In exchange for acquiring scoops from Narumi, she in turn shares any knowledge she acquired on her end (I'm impressed that she can handle Narumi so well). Despite her generally strong will, she tends to scare quite easily, sometimes to the point of fainting—her one major flaw. She also trips and falls with relative frequency, this is due to her tall high heels, which she wears in the hopes that the increased height they provide will garner her more respect at work. She prefers to be called "Kichou" (rather than simply being referred to as such in ink), but due to her charms, she is typically addressed endearingly as "Tae" anyway, despite her protests. |
| Takeshi Daidouji | Year of Birth: 1884 / Age: 47 / Occupation: Head of the Daidouji family, businessman / Height: Unknown / Weight: Unknown / Residence: Separate housing within the Daidouji estate in Yarai-ku (under medical care) / Favorite food: Unknown / Ideal partner: Unknown (now's not the time to look into this) / Interests: Prosperity of the Daidouji family, the future of his daughter Kaya
Head of the Daidouji family as well as father of the missing Kaya Daidouji and older brother of Kiyoshi Daidouji. Currently ill and under medical care. Apparently, no one is allowed to visit him. He is very sharp and (when not bedridden) supremely capable of managing the numerous aspects of the Daidouji family—quite the opposite of his younger brother, Kiyoshi. It's possible that his current illness may be the result of some scheme, such as an intentional poisoning. |
Items
| Term | Entry |
|---|---|
| EL 200 | Element 200, the "super" substance that should not exist (maybe it came from a meteor long ago, who knows). It was embedded in the Inlet Guardian and taken by the demon that possessed Kaya Daidouji. |
| Hitogata | A kind of "doll," as it were. Refers to a "katashiro" or "nademono" doll used to transfer impurity.
Common people use them in festivals or ceremonies celebrating their local gods, whereby they exorcise their taint and transfer it to the hitogata. In the Kuzunoha village, they are used as targets in combat trials, since they become a type of demon upon transference of taint onto them. They are capable of moving and attacking, but are hardly a threat against a professional Devil Summoner. However, they make perfect opponents for beginners or for training (assuming there's an experienced Summoner available who can use hitogata to begin with). Defeating a hitogata also exorcises the impurity from the person who had transferred their taint to it, so its defeat kills two birds with one stone. |
| Mystic Eye | A divine instrument we received from the Herald of Yagatarasu. This mysterious, scope-like tool can instantly reveal information about demons' combat attributes. (Perhaps it accesses the Akashic Records?)
It's essential for identifying the affinities your enemies are weak to, and what's more is you can use it as many times as you like. |
| Super Battleship Omagatsu | The first warship created as part of the Super Soldier Project. It appeared off the coast of Harumi-cho, Koutou-ku, then transformed into Super Battleship Omagatsu (apparently, its battleship form is called a "super battleship" while its transformed humanoid form is the "Soulless God").
Terrible losses were incurred by the Capital, but in the end, the Tai-itsu Satellite was destroyed (thanks to Raidou's demon and myself!), cutting off Omagatsu's energy supply and causing it to shut down and "sink." *The following information is borrowed from the Navy's "SS Project Report" It was also known as a "living, unsinkable warship" within the Super Soldier Project. The ship was meant [to] carry Type 91 Immortal Soldiers (later called Hell's Pawns) and submerge underwater, allowing it to attack other countries in secret. Upon reaching land, capital cities, military facilities, factories, and other points of interest would be targeted and destroyed. Then, the Type 91 Immortal Soldiers would subdue the weakened opposing nation with sheer force. This was the original plan. In Munakata's initial Super Soldier Project, this ship was described as a "variable form submersible warship." At one point, he intended to attach large caterpillar tracks to it to enable mobility on land, but it was deemed impossible for them to support the ship's 45,000 tons of weight. He then suggested a design by which the ship could walk, but given our current era's level of technology, he was ridiculed by his peers. However, Sukuna-Hikona's demonic power combined with the time traveler's "super" technology were able to use the Hiruko to turn this fantasy into reality. The Hiruko don't have bones, so they were able to fuse into the Soulless God, creating a symbiotic relationship by which the Soulless God served as their exoskeleton and they became the muscles and joints that allowed the ship to move in its humanoid form. To top it off, the Soulless God's power was supplied from beyond the atmosphere by the Tai-itsu Satellite, via the Waden One radio tower, serving as an inexhaustible source of energy. |
| Tai-itsu Satellite | A machine (or so-called "artificial satellite") that Munakata (or Sukuna-Hikona, rather) launched into the air and is now suspended in space.
Its purpose is to supply energy to the Soulless God down on Earth. As long as the Soulless God receives this energy, its reign of destruction will continue. What a truly horrifying thought. The following information is borrowed from Sadakichi's "SS Project Report" The Tai-itsu Satellite is about 100m in diameter. It carries the super substance EL 200, which absorbs the power of Earth's rotation as energy. This energy is converted into electrical power through the "Tai-itsu Core" and then transmitted to Waden One, where it is redirected to the Soulless God. Since the Tai-itsu Core is the most important component of the satellite, Sukuna-Hikona protects it with powerful magic that automatically summons demons, who, unlike humans, are capable of functioning in space. If the core is destroyed, the energy transfer to the Soulless God would be cut off, and the Tai-itsu Satellite itself would cease to function. |
| Time Traveler | Though it has been believed that when the daughters of the Daidouji family turn sixteen they become "possessed by a demon," the reality of the matter is that the possessor is actually a time traveler from the future.
According to Raido, in his timeline, there is a "Raidou from several generations into the future" trying to access the consciousness of "a girl" and whose mission it is to "change the future by changing the past." If this "girl" is Kaya Daidouji, that would theoretically make the time traveler this "Raidou from several generations into the future." Note: After hearing from the supposed "demon" that possessed Kaya, the time traveler has been identified as Raidou Kuzunoha XL. |
| Tubes | Vessels made of pure iron, designed for containing demons. Ordinary people lacking in spiritual power are incapable of using them.
There are but few craftsmen with the ability to create these tubes—thus, the ones received from Yatagarasu are typically the only ones Devil Summoners have access to. (Come to think of it, I've never met a tube craftsman myself and I've no idea where you might find one.) When a handler focuses their power unto a tube, it will open automatically, releasing the demon within—a demon can also be returned to a tube in the same manner. Tubes are suffused with the handler's Magnetite, usually noticeable as a green light. Additionally, there are numbers engraved in an ancient script onto tubes that indicate their contents. |
Locations
| Term | Entry |
|---|---|
| Akarana Corridor | A mysterious passage that provides access to various time periods. Though separate from the Dark Realm, you will find demons are still present.
It's likely that Raidou XL utilized this passage and performed some sort of spell that transferred the Fortieth's own memories to the daughters of the Daidouji family. This place seems to bear the name of Zurvan Akarana, the god who transcends all things, according to Zoroastrian doctrine. |
| The Capital | This is where we live—"the Far East," according to many world maps.
Though often simply called "the Capital," the city's official name is Tokyo. |
| Goumaden | A research facility run by Dr. Victor, located beneath Konnou-ya.
Here, Raidou can utilize demon fusion to combine his demons and create new ones. Additionally, he can forge weapons via Sword Alchemy and use the Devil Chart to register information on his demon allies. Only Devil Summoners are allowed into the Goumaden—all others are forbidden entry. Supposedly, even the owner of Konnou-ya himself is denied passage inside. |
| Konnou-ya | An antique shop in the Karukogawa Shopping District, located in Tsukudo-cho, Yarai-ku. The store boasts a proud history, according to its owner.
On the surface, it's a simple general store run by a foulmouthed old man, and based on the shop's appearance, business seems to be doing well. Thanks to the owner's dealings overseas, more than just everyday goods can be found in stock. The shop contains dangerous inventory (used primarily by Devil Summoners) unavailable to the general public. It seems this secret side of the business is where real money is made. Also of note: the establishment's basement has been rented to Dr. Victor. |
| Nameless Shrine | A deserted shrine in Shinoda, reachable by riding a Capital streetcar to its final destination.
The shrine has a solemn air about it that seems to befit the fact that the mountain upon which it's built was once worshiped as a god. Perhaps due to this unusual atmosphere, visitors can nigh never be found frequenting the place—the multitude of beetles don't seem to mind it, though. Regardless, those with the proper knowledge (like us) can follow a set of steps to call upon the Herald of Yatagarasu, providing a line of communication with Yatagarasu. The shrine is adorned with raven symbols, likely alluding to Yatagarasu, although some theorize that these patterns more closely resemble those seen in foreign lands. The guardian fox statues to the left and right of the shrine's staircase each carry tubes in their mouths—the same sorts of tubes used to contain demons—illustrating the Kuzunoha clan's connection with this location. The shrine's washstand doubles as a hidden entrance into the Training Hall. Incidentally, "Nameless Shrine" is just an alias that we use for this place; it likely has a proper name, I just don't know what it is. |
| Narumi Detective Agency | A detective agency based at the Ginroukaku, a multi-story building in Tsukudo-cho, Yarai-ku. Despite the office's ordinary appearance, the agency focuses on "special" cases (occult in nature), and serves as our home base. The head of the agency is its namesake, Narumi.
Raidou XIV lives here, learning the ins and outs of detective work, as well as performing routine tasks such as cooking and cleaning (in other words, Narumi's busywork—I suppose having easy access to someone able to do combat with demons wasn't enough for him). I am also taking up residence here. (Every evening after school, Raidou gets a lamentably small pittance of spending money from Narumi to buy food and other necessities. Sometimes, I'm able to get a decent meal from the fish market, making it worth tagging along whenever possible.) On the surface, it seems like the Narumi Detective Agency hardly gets business, which begs the question of how the rent at such a pricey locality can be afforded. As it turns out, the agency is backed by Yatagarasu, who pays the rent and offers other financial assistance (not sure of the specifics, though I'm sure that it's needed if Narumi can't even pay his own rent). This support is what keeps the business afloat, despite the apparent lack of clientele. In exchange, Yatagarasu is free to use the Narumi Detective Agency for its own purposes. For example, it was on Yatagarasu's orders that Narumi took Raidou in to begin with. |
| Ushigome-Gaeri Bridge | A bridge located in Tsukudo-cho, Yarai-ku.
It is a constant subject of gossip due to the frequency of anomalous occurrences related to it. Specifically, there have been reports since ancient times of people suddenly disappearing when they visit the bridge, and missing people reappearing. This is also where that mysterious girl was abducted by those red Special Guards. Later, Raidou and I were caught in Rasputin's attack and sent to an alternate timeline, where we ended up on Ushigome-Gaeri Bridge (though it's technically a different bridge since it's in another timeline). It also happens to be the place we found ourselves when we returned home. According to the Herald of Yagatarasu from the other timeline, Ushigome-Gaeri Bridge is an appropriate venue for performing magic since it serves as a boundary of sorts between the real world and the Dark Realm. |
| Shin-Sekai Soda Joint | A long-standing restaurant hidden away in the center of Ginza-cho, Chujou-ku. Its design takes inspiration from the Art Deco style. Here, patrons are offered light meals and drinks in a similar fashion to the increasingly popular café model.
The Shin-Sekai Soda Joint may give the appearance of a normal restaurant, but in reality, it is frequented by Devil Summoners seeking to exchange information. Its placement in the chaotic downtown area is somewhat akin to hiding a tree within a forest. I find the idea that Devil Summoners regularly gather in such an area, unbeknownst to the everyday citizens who arrive for a night on the town, rather humorous (though I suppose it is indicative of the nature of hidden truths that one becomes all too familiar with in this line of work). The Devil Summoner regulars discuss an array of topics, from demon battles to how best to strengthen their demonic allies. Another regular is Tae Asakura (not a Devil Summoner, of course), who, despite her drive to find the next big scoop, doesn't realize she's sitting right in the middle of what could be the biggest scoop of her life. How amusing. Among the soda joint's offerings are certain drinks available only to Devil Summoners. These are capable of granting various benefits, though the specific effects seem to be tied to the phases of the moon, so it'd be best to stay apprised of this when ordering. (Ordinary people will only receive drinks equally as ordinary should they attempt to order a beverage intended for Summoners, so there's no need to worry about that contingency.) |
| Training Hall | A place where aspiring Devil Summoners may risk their lives to train. Full-fledged Summoners also utilize it to continually hone their spiritual powers. The village has set it up so that demons appear within, making it an ideal location for those wishing to gather said demons or simply build their strength.
The Training Hall is positioned beneath the Kuzunoha village. Each floor is lined with walls comprised of magic square panels. Aside from the primary venue, there are additional training locations to the north, south, east, and west, all taking on the appearance of deserted shrines. |
| Yumizuki High | The school that Raidou Kuzunoha XIV attends.
Thanks to Yatagarasu's support, his position at school is stable despite any periods of absence due to his Devil Summoner duties. Several other students with circumstances similar to the Fourteenth's also attend. This school actually specializes in preparing its pupils for careers in the profession of teaching. Truth be told, I am rather uncomfortable knowing that Yatagarasu holds influence over such an institution. |
Miscellaneous Entries

|---|---|
| Amatsukami | The divine forces that currently hold power in our country after the Kunitsukami "gave up" rule. The Amatsukami control Yatagarasu and use them to support the government in the human world.
Originally, our land was ruled by indigenous deities known as the Kunitsukami, each of whom ruled over a territory as a country of their own. However, an Amatsu messenger descended from Takamagahara (the heavens) and demanded seizure of all territories, to which the Kunitsukami complied. But that isn't to say everything was resolved amicably. The two forces continued to clash for eons, and even after the conflict ended, some ill will remains to this day. It would seem this grudge plays a large role in our current case. |
| Aril Rift | Slang used by Devil Summoners referring to the spatial fissures that connect the real world to the Dark Realm.
The term comes from a word associated with pomegranates, the food of the underworld, with "underworld" acting as a euphemism for the Dark Realm. Additionally, the rifts happen to be shaped similarly to pomegranates. Aril Rifts are often used by demons to enter the real world, enabling them to attack humans or otherwise wreak havoc (denoted by the sudden disappearance of residents and other such occurrences). Nothing good ever comes from leaving them unchecked (although most demons that utilize them tend to be weak, as stronger demons prefer not to waste their time with such a trivialities [sic]), so Devil Summoners are encouraged to purge Aril Rifts upon discovery to prevent citizens from coming to harm (not to mention Yatagarasu offers rewards for purging Aril Rifts, and doing so may also increase your power). An Aril Rift forms when the boundary between the real world and the Dark Realm grows too thin and collapses. Manifestation of these fissures can be influenced by approaching disasters, the rotation of the earth, or the appearance of powerful demons. Due to this exhibition of such volatile nature, Aril Rifts are treated the same as the Dark Realm, and organizations like Yatagarasu monitor them all over the world and send Devil Summoners to purge them as they appear. As a result, dire incidents involving civilians are almost always prevented before they can occur. Furthermore, ordinary people cannot see Aril Rifts. Only those with sufficiently sharpened senses, like Devil Summoners, can see them (though some especially attuned people may experience a vague sense of their existence, such as suddenly getting chills). During the Edo period, the wooden doors that separated wash areas from bathtubs in bathhouses were called "zakuroguchi." They were designed in such a way as to prevent the steam in the wash area from escaping outside. The function of these zakuroguchi—another term derived from pomegranates—is a compounding reason for the name Aril Rift, as the people of Edo have long referred to "split-open entrances" as "Aril Rifts." |
| Daidouji Family | A wealthy family with roots dating back before the Meiji Restoration. Their mansion sits on the hills of Yarai-ku and enjoys a full view of the Capital. The estate also employs many servants.
The Daidouji family engages in several businesses and has such remarkable foresight that their competitors haven't stood a chance of catching up. Thanks to the development of advanced technology that remains unmatched by their peers, they have seized a monopoly over the market and its wealth. A rumor that the family is "cursed" has been making the rounds, thought that may just be propagandizing by older families that are envious of their fortune. Their family crest is the swallowtail butterfly. The current head of house is Takeshi Daidouji—Kaya Daidouji's father. As such, he handles the core business operations of the family. Currently, he is ill and his condition is reportedly quite bleak. There is a song that has supposedly been passed down through generations of the Daidouji family: "The mother, the father—earth between. The demon's blood whole again. In the abyss, its blood must be slain." The truth about the Daidouji family "traditions" has been revealed as follows (earlier descriptions have been revised): All daughters of the Daidouji family, upon turning sixteen, begin saying unusual things. This is the supposed "demon possession." The types of things spoken of include scientific and technological standards that far exceed those of the current era. These "prophecies" are what have allowed the Daidouji businesses to continually prosper. In actuality, these "possessions" are memories of a future person that have been transferred into the Daidouji daughters and the accompanying prophecies are but recollections of the mental time traveler's own era (including lifestyles, technological advancements, etc.). Regardless of their true nature, the people of the past happily accept these "prophecies" as catalysts of good fortune. (I surmise that transferring a person's memories to another across time would mean adding those memories to the recipient's (in this case, Kaya's) existing consciousness in their current era. That would explain how Kaya's "possessor" (the time traveler) knew how to exhibit the proper customs and behavior for the Taisho era. Whether Kaya's own consciousness is still intact or was overwritten entirely remains to be seen.) In our closed-minded society, those deemed "abnormal" for one reason or another are often demonized—fairly literally, in this case. The Daidouji family has long taken to imprisoning their "possessed" daughters underground, and after receiving their precious prophecies, the girls are executed in secret. What a truly detestable custom. |
| Dark Realm | A separate world inhabiting a higher plane of existence, only perceptible by people with spiritual power. It is a haven for demons and other such beings.
Referred to by some as "the underworld," it is essentially the opposite of what we would call "the real world," in which we live. Hades, Hell, Sheol, Gehenna—the Dark Realm goes by many names, depending on the region and belief. Put simply, it's a world of shadow that exists beside the world of light that we all know. As previously mentioned, only those with spiritual abilities and/or sufficient training can so much as sense the Dark Realm. However, it is possible for a normal person to be lured into it, thus gaining awareness of it. Since ancient times, stories of fantasy worlds, myths of people being spirited away, and folktales about mystical forests or illusory train stations can be attributed to instances of someone wandering into the Dark Realm. Once in the Dark Realm, escape is no simple feat without the proper knowledge, so be warned. Also worth noting: the Dark Realm is spread unevenly throughout the world. As such, it is carefully monitored by Yatagarasu and similar organizations across the globe, and their affiliated Devil Summoners do their utmost to prevent civilians from accidentally wandering in. It is not mere happenstance that people tend to steer clear of straw festoons, dosojin protective statues, and barriers from guardian deities—superstitions around such things were intentionally manufactured by the powers that be to shepherd humans away from the Dark Realm. To the extent that further explanation may be warranted: there is a higher plane relative to our world that acts as the core of existence. As this core expands, its outer limits gradually lose power while trickling down the ever-lowering planes of existence, eventually dispersing completely by the time it reaches its outermost boundaries, which we know as the "real world." While our world constitutes this outer crust of existence, the Dark Realm can be thought of as essentially all higher planes closer to the core. As such, we can't see into the Dark Realm from our standing, but the demons in the Dark Realm can look out and see our world, and they're always watching. |
| Dark Summoner | A blanket term for any Devil Summoner that doesn't belong to an organization considered "legitimate" by the current authorities.
Dark Summoners are often seen as subversive Devil Summoners, though it is not as if even sanctioned outfits like ours are afforded action in an entirely official manner, strictly speaking—all the more reason why we mustn't ever forget our purpose. Dark Summoners act of their own accord (some with genuine cause, others merely for selfish gain), often because their values don't align with those of any recognized organization. I, for one, find possession of this trait alone an insufficient standard for the labeling of any such Summoner as simply "good" or "evil." The reality is that Devil Summoners come in all different shades, and such closed-minded thinking provides no benefit to our cause. |
| Devil Summoner | Individuals capable of commanding demons. After the Meiji Restoration, the name was carried over from the West and became mainstream (I use the term myself).
Devil Summoners live in the everyday world, yet are also familiar with the world in the shadows. When societal order is disturbed or the destructive tendencies of human nature go unchecked, it is their duty to act as mediator between both worlds and restore balance. To that end, Devil Summoners employ the demons of the Dark Realm as tools to resolve occurrences in which the world in the shadows threatens to encroach upon the everyday world—which is to say, they settle conflicts that are beyond the scope of ordinary humans to settle on their own. Devil Summoners have existed since ancient times. They have often affiliated with the various leaders and authorities of their respective eras and have consequently influenced human history to a great degree. Their highest priority is to prevent the world from falling into chaos, and it is for that purpose that they diligently and secretively slay demons. No matter the circumstances, it is our charge to tread the darkness, our actions unacknowledged by the rest of the world. |
| Dragon's Rise | A type of wall that naturally occurs within the Demon Realm.
The root of the term can be likened to the phrase "wrath of the dragon vein," referring to the flow of spiritual energy within the earth, which functions like blood vessels and is connected to Dragon's Founts. Consequently, wrath manifesting in dragon veins as Dragon's Rises is simply the way of the earth in this world. Devil Summoners and demons alike cannot pass through a Dragon's Rise, no matter how powerful they may be. If one should encounter a Dragon's Rise, the only option is to find another route. |
| Fuchikoma | When the Herald of Yatagarasu performed the Purification Ritual, Raidou served as a Fuchikoma for the curse. In other words, his body was made a sacrifice for the curse to transfer to, allowing him to seek out its origin.
The name "Fuchikoma" carries the meaning of "spotted horse." By extension, "Ame-no-Fuchikoma" (or "heavenly Fuchikoma") can be interpreted as "a horse from heaven" or "a beautiful horse." The term comes from invocations in purification rituals, as well as the story from the Kojiki in which Susano-o threw a flayed horse, the Ame-no-Fuchikoma, into Amaterasu's weaving hall. The horse's treatment as a sacrifice aligns with this procedure of "sacrificing one's body to accept a curse." A fitting name from Yatagarasu, who seem to view even their own Devil Summoners as disposable workhorses. |
| Itolkovsky Equation | A mathematical equation that is vital to rocket propulsion. It was published by the Eastern European scientist Hevrei Itolkovsky (born around 1855).
Itolkovsky worked as a science-fiction writer while studying mathematics and physics in his spare time. By 1896, he had published his book "Principles of Rocket Propulsion," which contained the Itolkovsky Equation. His most well-known work was "Beyond the Cradle," published in 1903. This science-fiction novel included references to multistage rockets, liquid fuels, and artificial satellites. The isdeas behind Itolkovsky's literary works and equation were so original at the time that many had difficulty accepting them and his efforts were largely disregarded. Recently, however, he has finally been acknowledged for his work and has come to be known as the "father of rocketry." Scientists in foreign countries have expanded on his equation and are apparently making great strides in the field of rocket engineering (I suppose this means rockets may soon become a reality). What's more, it seems that Itolkovsky visited our country at one point, and his book "Seeing the Future in a Land of Inspiration" details the time he spent here. Interestingly, it includes mention of his contact with the Daidouji family (during the time of Takeshi's predecessor). |
| Hell's Pawns | A group of undying soldiers that were engineered from the Super Soldier Project and were originally called the Type 91 Immortal Soldiers.
Different Hell's Pawns specialize in equally different weaponry. One variant fights with a saber, one with a type 91 submachine gun, and one with a standard Type 91 machine gun. It seems rumors of the Red Cape were founded on sightings of both actual Red Capes and the Hell's Pawns. After all, the Hell's Pawns were working in the real world on Munakata's orders and could therefore be spotted by people. Additionally, there were rumors that the Red Capes caused radio static (In reality, it was the Hell's Pawns that caused this). Radio static was often reported alongside sightings of Hell's Pawns as well. As the townspeople gossiped, these two versions of similar rumors conflated with each other. In order to manufacture a Hell's Pawn (an admittedly dehumanizing way to word it, but the process itself is quite literally dehumanizing), a human that turns into a Red Cape is captured with a sasumata and outfitted with weapons. (Apparently, the Hell's Pawns were abducting people who had turned into Red Capes—in essence, gathering "allies.") A captured Red Cape then has an appliance implanted into their head which maintains the Hiruko-induced advanced state (the Red Cape form), allowing them to keep their superhuman abilities. But although the advanced state is maintained, the Hiruko itself is removed, leaving behind the shell of the host that can no longer be turned back into a human. This process also removes the mental instability of a Red Cape, resulting in a terrifying soldier that revels in battle. The only thing we can do as Devil Summoners is put them out of their misery. |
| Hiding One's True Name | After achieving the position of Devil Summoner, it becomes necessary to hide one's true name, as it is linked to the handler's spiritual nature—intelligence that can be taken advantage of by demons if learnt. Thus, Kuzunoha handlers (mainly Devil Summoners) record their names in a register kept by the Kuzunoha village, thereby entrusting their real name to the clan. The Devil Summoner will then go by their appointed Summoner name (such as "Raidou"), only revealing their real name to those they can trust.
The register is protected by a powerful barrier erected by the village so as to safeguard the names from demons or any malicious third party. There was a time when I too offered my name to the village, but I've long since forgotten what it was. Regardless, I've no need for it anymore. |
| Hiruko | A matured form of the "Hiruko Elements" that reside within every intelligent being. When someone's Hiruko elements reach an advanced state, that person transforms into a Red Cape. Once a Hiruko grows to an adult stage within a Red Cape, it abandons its host and flies off somewhere, supposedly to carry out some sort of "plan."
The wandering zombies in the Dark Realm of the Capital are thought to be the remains of humans that Hiruko have left behind. When a Hiruko leaves a Red Cape, its former host essentially becomes a corpse (hence why zombies seem to exhibit no Spirit). |
| Magnetite | Often abbreviated as "MAG." It is a microscopic living mineral carried inside the majority of living organisms (humans included, of course). It can be found in the atmosphere and within inorganic matter as well, and is thought to have electromagnetic properties.
MAG grants life to living things and is necessary for demons to maintain physical bodies in the real world. It's said that MAG changes color (relative to human perception of color) depending on the nature of the individual it inhabits. Though normally green, it takes on a more reddish hue when associated with wicked individuals. |
| Mysterious Devil Summoner | An unidentified Devil Summoner we encountered at the Daidouji Residence. However, we didn't actually see him—we merely heard a voice.
This Devil Summoner aided Kiyoshi Daidouji in his escape after he transformed into a monster. Additionally, it seems likely that the Tsuchigumo in Dark Tsukudo-cho, the Gashadokuro in the basement, and the Ichimokuren in the Daidouji Residence were all sent by this Summoner (an educated guess based on what those demons said). It's worth noting that his speech seemed to contain an intonation uncommon for this area. I'm not sure where he comes from. Perhaps he's a Dark Summoner. Note: The mysterious Devil Summoner has been identified as Rasputin. I will stop updating this entry and instead add an entry for "Rasputin." |
| Mysterious Girl | A girl who called the Narumi Detective Agency for help, but was abducted by the red "Special Guards" (see entry on Special Guards) at Ushigome-Gaeri Bridge. Identity is unknown, but has distinguishably long hair and her attire (a school uniform) indicates she is likely a student. She said some very peculiar things, like, "I want you to kill me," and, "I'm almost sixteen."
Note: The girl has been identified as Kaya Daidouji. I will stop updating this entry and instead add an entry for "Kaya Daidouji." |
| Mysterious Guest | An unknown individual who met with Kiyoshi Daidouji in the Daidouji Residence living room. It appears he's connected to the military, but that's about the extent of what we can glean as to his identity. Based on what was overheard by Raidou's demon, this person knows Kaya Daidouji is missing and that the head of house, Takeshi, has fallen ill. It also seems apparent that he likely conspired with Kiyoshi to abduct Kaya. Lastly, this unknown figure condemned Kiyoshi's decision to hire a detective and is aware that we are affiliated with the Kuzunoha.
Based on Kiyoshi's testimony, we now know that this mysterious guest is, in fact, in the military and that he goes by the initial "M." His subordinates seem to offer him excessive respect, so it may be safe to assume that this is a particularly high-ranking individual. Note: It has become apparent that this individual is the one behind the Super Soldier Project: Munakata, a major general in the Army. I will stop updating this entry and instead add an entry for "Munakata." |
| Nethergate | A physical manifestation of humans' negative emotions that have flowed into the Dark Realm, solidifying into the shape of a wall. The name is derived from a term that refers to an obstruction in one's path. |
| Radiant Guardians & Inlet Guardian | The Radiant Guardians are thought to have originated in 1630, when the Buddhist priest Tenkai proposed to Tokugawa Iemitsu praying at these protective statues located around the Capital for spiritual tranquility. Each statue is said to be named after a color corresponding to the philosophy of the Five Elements.
In addition to these five colored statues, there is supposedly a hidden sixth statue called the Pale Guardian. As the name suggests, it is absent of color. It is also known as the Inlet Guardian, referring to the land around it. It is said that the Inlet Guardian has a crystal ball embedded into it which is needed to provide spiritual tranquility—it is supposed to contain immense spiritual power. It's believed that most literature regarding the Inlet Guardian was burned around the time of the Meiji Restoration, possibly to prevent malign misuse of its crystal ball. (At the time, the newly established Meiji government was desperate to remove anything with the potential to assist in overthrowing the infant nation. They likely saw this crystal ball as one such thing. Having just overthrown the previous government themselves, they knew their enemy all too well and must have grown quite paranoid.) Note: The Inlet Guardian's "crystal ball" has been identified as the EL 200. |
| Red Cape | A mysterious creature striking fear into the hearts of the Capital's citizens. It has been spotted in several locations and is the subject of discussion all over town.
Some say it abducts people, others say it randomly attacks them (one story suggests it slashed someone's throat and the ensuing splattering of blood resembled a crimson cape). There's even an account that claims it prompts radio static wherever it goes. However, most of these reports are merely baseless rumors, likely a result of the agitation connected to the ongoing economic recession and drop in public safety (throughout the ages, resurgences of interest in the occult have always been a reflection of societal anxieties). But the Red Cape in the photo from Tae Asakura resembles Kiyoshi Daidouji when he fled the Daidouji Residence. We must consider the possibility that this photo is real. Over the course of our investigation, we found the Red Cape attacking taxis in Ginza-cho. It's unquestionably the monster from Tae's photo. However, its true identity was not Kiyoshi, but rather the Ryugu rickshaw runner, Denpachi Iida. It has also become evident that there was more than just one Red Cape. In fact, there are multiple—perhaps even multitudinous—Red Capes in the Capital. The truth behind the matter is that Red Capes are Hiruko (see entry on Hiruko) in a pupal state. Hiruko are born from Hiruko elements, which supposedly exist within all humans. Normally, these Hiruko elements are dormant, but once activated, they feed off of the secretions in the brain that control anxiety. As a Hiruko consumes these secretions, the human becomes less and less able to fend off their anxiety. This results in a vicious cycle by which further anxiety produces more secretions, continually feeding the Hiruko, which in turn ensures the brain's perpetual failing to contain such anxiety. When the Hiruko eventually matures within its host, a red, cape-like substance protrudes from the body to protect the host from outside threats, similar to a cocoon shielding a developing butterfly. This is the true nature of a Red Cape. |
| Ritual of Entry | A ritual used to send humans such as Devil Summoners into the Dark Realm.
The Dark Realm of the Capital is laboriously monitored by Yatagarasu as to prevent demons and humans from leaving their respective worlds (lest demons wreak havoc in the real world or humans wander into the Dark Realm). Thus, a barrier is regularly maintained around the entirety of the Capital. The Ritual of Entry is performed by the Herald of Yatagarasu at the Nameless Shrine. The ritual lifts the barrier at specific locations, allowing Devil Summoners and the like to safely pass through. As you might expect, powerful magic is necessary, which is why only individuals with exceptional spiritual strength can perform the Ritual of Entry. For that same reason, it can only be performed on a single area at a time. |
| Ritual of Soul-Sending | Originally a technique for sending curses back to their casters or returning evil spirits to the underworld. An equivalent effect can also be infused into charms.
In order for Raidou and I to return home after Rasputin sent us to an alternate universe, we enlisted the help of that universe's Raido Kuzunoha XIV to perform the Ritual of Soul-Sending on us so that we may return to our original timeline. Quite an abnormal use for the Ritual of Soul-Sending, delivering ourselves to another timeline, rather than casting away a curse or spirit. Unusual application aside, what made this possible was the power of the Amatsu Kanagi, a divine instrument that can freely perceive the past, present, and future. |
| Special Guards | Mysterious figures who ambushed us at Ushigome-Gaeri Bridge and abducted the mysterious girl. There were multiple assailants, but their identities are unknown. However, they recognized Raidou as a Devil Summoner, so they clearly have some level of insight into our trade. Perhaps most importantly, though, they gave off a peculiar aura (it's difficult to explain, but those with plentiful experience fighting demons can recognize it) which leads me to believe they must be some type of demon.
Now there's talk on the street about the "Red Cape." It's possible this could be related to those red Special Guards. Note: These Special Guards have been identified as Hell's Pawns. I will stop updating this entry and instead add an entry for "Hell's Pawns." |
| Spirit | Essentially a demon's morale, or vigor. Human equivalents include stamina, passion, hope, desire, and ambition, among other attributes that have a direct effect on the rise or fall of one's zeal for life.
In the past, this concept was known by other names—"motivation" and "passion" were common, though in Western areas, the word "passion" had more romantic connotations. Nowadays, in this era of internationalization, Summoners refer to it as "Spirit" all over the world. Spirit grants great power to both humans and demons, and will no doubt prove invaluable in our efforts to solve this case. Do be sure to make use of it as appropriate, Raidou. |
| Sukuna-Hikona | A demon and a Kunitsukami, though he was once an Amatsukami.
In the time of legends, the Kunitsukami swore vengeance upon the Amatsukami who, according to Sikuna-Hikona, stole their home. To that end, he possessed Munakata's body (killing Munakata in the process) and took over the Super Soldier Project, making it a reality and repurposing it for his own goal. He then set his sights on destroying the Capital, which he claims was built by the Amatsukami. Munakata feared for his country's future and conceived of the Super Soldier Project to save it, but it ironically fell into the hands of a demon wishing to use it to attain an opposite vision. |
| Taisho 20 | "Taisho" refers to a particular era in our country's calendar system. On the Western calendar, Taisho 20 would be around the year 1931.
As it is currently unfolding, this period seems to be characterized by the masses struggling against government oppression, attempting to combat a sluggish economy, and fighting for democratic reform. At the same time, a new mentality has the modern youth embracing ideas of free love and artistic expression. Thus, despite the tumultuous state of affairs, the people are full of Spirit, and the era overflows with charm and wonder. |
| The Art of Confinement | The art of sealing a demon within a tube or other summoning instrument, or seizing that demon's various possessions.
To utilize the art of confinement, the Summoner must have spiritual power that equals or eclipses that of the target demon, as well as a vessel to contain said demon. Demons technically don't fit inside these tubes—only a demon's "information" is stored. The exact science is ambiguous, but using knowledge of demons passed down since days of old, we are able to utilize a practice not dissimilar to the preservation of dried foods. Adding water to a dried mushroom will return it to its original form. Likewise, with a demon's information in hand, we can restore its original form as well. In more detail, we first use the art of confinement to capture the "information" of the demon (the demon will be unable to maintain its form and seemingly disappear) and seal it within a tube. Then, to summon that demon, we withdraw the information from that tube and provide it with Magnetite from within our bodies (see entry on Magnetite), restoring the demon's true form. To return a demon to a tube, we simply perform these steps in reverse order. What exactly is this "demon information," you ask? It's the reason that demons have existed since ancient times. There are beings that control wind, cast lightning, bring rain, and lead humans astray. As they show themselves, we give them names; they have affinities, and we categorize them by order. All such details are unique to that specific demon, and the total information required to form a demon is enormous (though somewhat dependent on the demon's level). Additionally, the details of demons have been known since long ago, but these demons may periodically change their abilities, and some have even had their information lost (or, more accurately, forgotten) over time. (There are also cases of demons that rebelled against influential figures of their time being intentionally erased from existence.) To succeed in the art of confinement, it is necessary to analyze a demon's body and decrypt the information to recreate it (a method similar to clairvoyance or second sight). By discarding unnecessary elements, only the critical information is retained. Needless to say, this process requires exceptional spiritual power and technique. |
| The Unbroken | As it relates to this case, the Unbroken are a faction of the Kunitsukami led by Sukuna-Hikona.
Historically, this name refers to those who were exterminated by their conquerors, or more specifically, spirits who rebelled against the central authority and were consequently branded as "demons" and executed. These spirits were a subset of the Kunitsukami. Eventually, the country's leaders deified them out of fear—not that it mattered by that point. The fury of the Unbroken could not be quelled, but to this day, festivals are continually held for the sake of appeasing them. (This is quite typical of our government and its officials. They never spend time or money when it's needed and then they get burned for it later. Why is this country so wasteful with its resources?) Also worthy of note: the Kunitsukami were struck down by the Amatsukami, whom Yatagarasu sides with. |
| Yatagarasu | A supranationalist organization that has existed since ancient times and works behind the scenes in our country. It is comprised of various individuals with superhuman powers, primarily Devil Summoners. The Kuzunoha clan is affiliated with this group.
Yatagarasu is descended from the Amatsukami (not the original gods of this land). They never hold explicit roles within any government or other leading bodies, but have acted as a supporting faction throughout the ages (leadership has changed countless times, but their stances have always remained the same). However, their involvement remains secretive, and the public, by and large, don't [sic] even know they exist. In fact, our own only point of contact with them is through the Herald at the Nameless Shrine. Call me cynical, but I would recommend against getting too deeply involved with them. Incidentally, they also back the Narumi Detective Agency. |
Progress Reports
| Term | Entry |
|---|---|
| Episode 1 | We met with a schoolgirl (I think her long black hair suits her well, for what it's worth) at Ushigome-Gaeri Bridge. She asked us to kill her for some reason, but then she was taken by some weird Special Guards in red getup.
So I had Raidou look into her. Turns out she's Kaya Daidouji of the Daidouji family (and a fourth-year student at Ouran High), and I guess she's been missing. Our investigation led us to her uncle, Kiyoshi, and some mug from the military. Also, the head of the family's condition isn't looking great, so there's issues around the family inheritance. We wanted to get some answers from Kiyoshi, but he transformed (really no other way to put it) and ran away before we could get anything good out of him. For now, I'd say we should focus on him as we continue our investigation. |
| Episode 2 | Raidou went to Ryugu in Ginza-cho to follow up on that lead from Tae, a sighting of Kiyoshi (AKA the Red Cape). He ran into Denpachi, a rickshaw runner who happens to know Kiyoshi. Denpachi wanted us to find his sister, Shizu (who's married). So we find her in the Red-Light District, and of course, she sends us off to find someone too, this time a car vandal.
Eventually, everything came together and we found the Red Cape at Kurisu-zaka. Thing is, it wasn't Kiyoshi, it was Denpachi! This can only mean that there are multiple Red Capes. You know, we still haven't been paid for tracking all these people down... |
| Episode 3 | Raidou went out to Daidouji Textiles in Senju-ku, the place Denpachi mentioned. He got through the Matrix Labyrinth and managed to find Kiyoshi, but the guy up and transformed again. This time, though, a strange creature popped out of his back and flew away.
Then a shady character calling himself Rasputin showed up and explained some stuff about that creature (it's called a Hiruko, apparently) and the Red Capes. After that, he made Raidou fight one of his demons while the scoundrel himself got away. Well, one thing's for sure: there's a Dark Summoner involved in this case. I think it's safe to say that Kiyoshi isn't the focus of our investigation anymore. |
| Episode 4 | The owner of Konnou-ya asked us to investigate some freight disappearances at Harada Co., so Raidou headed over to Harumi-cho. It didn't seem related to the current case, but problems for Konnou-ya could turn into problems for us, so we figured it'd be best to help out. ANd who knows? We could've stumbled across some lead on Rasputin in Harumi-cho. In fact, that's just what happened.
We ended up looking into a foreign trader named Elfman, who was smuggling illegal immigrants into the country. So Raidou went to the Catholic church to try to meet him, but wouldn't you know it, Elfman was already dead! Rasputin was there instead, so Raidou fought and beat him. Afterwards, Raidou confirmed that Rasputin died in the battle. |
| Episode 5 | Narumi is absent at the moment, so this is Gouto filling in.
Rasputin gave us information regarding Kaya and Tae told us about a military deserter—both were related to Kasumidai, so we decided to visit to see how the two might be connected. At Dark Kasumidai, we found Sadakichi, the deserter who had contacted Tae. He made us privy to the Super Soldier Project, as well as Kaya's whereabouts at Cannon Battery #4. At the subterranean shipyard, we met Munakata and then saved Kaya before managing to escape. Upon our return, the decision was made to hire Kaya as the agency's secretary. |
| Episode 6 | *Written while I (Narumi) was out.
Kaya and Raidou went out hunting for the Inlet Guardian since Kaya said millions would die if Munakata got his hands on it. Luckily, they found it at a construction site in Ginza-cho, but then Kaya wigged out, stole the crystal, and vanished into thin air! Just like that, she was gone without a trace. And even worse, she cut her hair short. I thought it looked much better long... |
| Episode 7 | This is Gouto filling in again.
Lord Takagi had been cursed, but the curse was transferred to Raidou via a Purification Ritual. He was then able to trace the caster of the curse to Dark Fukagawa-cho, where he defeated Hitokotonushi, breaking the curse in the process. According to the Herald of Yatagarasu, the attack was orchestrated by Munakata. One thing led to another and Sadakichi ultimately requested that Raidou infiltrate Waden One in Sakuradayama. I don't think it's unreasonable to demand overtime pay for this. |
| Episode 8 | Gouto here again.
Narumi and Raidou wnet off to carry out separate investigations. Raidou and I confronted Munakata at the top of Waden One, where Munakata summoned Mishagugi. We managed to prevail in the battle that ensued, but regrettably, Rasputin caught us off guard and sent us through a space-time rift. I suppose I should revise the earlier report regarding his apparent death. |
| Episode 9 | Gouto again.
Rasputin's spell delivered us to the Tsukudo-cho of another timeline, which differs subtly from our own. There, we met "Raido" and "Goto" (spelled as such to distinguish them from ourselves). After consulting with the Herald of Yatagarasu, we succeeded in gathering the prisms necessary to form the Amatsu Kanagi. With Raido's assistance, we performed the Ritual of Soul-Sending at Ushigome-Gaeri Bridge and returned to tell the tale. Side note: Narumi better take over this duty again soon; this typewriter is murder on my paws. |
| Episode 10 | Martial law has been declared in the Capital and those Hell's Pawns took down Navy HQ. On a tip from Rasputin, Raidou went back to the subterranean shipyard through Kasumi Glade and found me injured. We learned there that Munakata was possessed by Sukuna-Hikona, and then Raidou defeated him. But now the Soulless God is on the loose in Harumi-cho. It's way too big to fight (at least 400 meters tall), so we've retreated for the time being. |
| Episode 11 | We came up with an idea to destroy the Tai-itsu Satellite, which is the Soulless God's power source. Raidou went to the Amazing Science Lab and convinced Dr. Tsukumo to use the rocket there for our plan. Then, Raidou detained Rasputin until he coughed up some calculations that we needed. From there, we'd have to get to the satellite and destroy its core from the inside. Gouto and a demon took the rocket to the satellite and destroyed it. The Soulless God has been stopped, but Gouto and Raidou's demon didn't make it... |
