Origin

Arcturus, whose Bayer designation is α Boötis, is the brightest star in the Boötes constellation and the fourth-brightest star in the night sky. Together with Denebola and Spica it forms the Spring Triangle asterism.

The name of Arcturus' race in Japanese (大角 Daikaku) comes from the Chinese name for the star (大角星 Dàjiǎo).
