Anguished One is a character in Devil Survivor 2.

Profile

The Anguished One is an enigmatic man with supernatural abilities who sometimes appears before the protagonist. He seems to possess a great amount of knowledge, especially concerning Nicaea, the Septentriones, and demons. He is often attended to by a Bifrons, though appears to take issue with his subordinate's savage nature towards humankind.

He names himself Al Saiduq during the Alcor route of the Septentrione arc.[3]

Alcor is a star in the constellation Ursa Major, and forms a so-called "double star" with Mizar.

Al-Saiduq appears to derive from الصَّيْدَقُ aṣ-ṣaydaq, an Arabic name for Alcor.
