Ahriman is Shijima's Demonic Sponsor, and is called the "god of the void". He is summoned by Hikawa, who merges with him, at the end of the Diet Building.

If the Demi-fiend is not Shijima-aligned, Ahriman will block his progression up the Tower of Kagutsuchi and must be defeated. Initially, Ahriman demands to be amused and will set rules forbidding certain actions for the party during battle; If a rule is violated, whoever broke the rule will be instantly killed. After a few turns, however, Ahriman grows tired of this game and forsakes the rules in favor of attacking the party with his full power. After his defeat, he relinquishes the Earthstone to Demi-fiend and dies.

If the Demi-fiend is Shijima-aligned, Ahriman will give him the Earthstone and let him pass through.
