Nozomi is a level-headed and mature Hunter, being seen as reliable by her peers. She also dabbles in photography on the side. She tends to fall into the role of a mentor, trying to impart her wisdom onto those under her tutelage and sometimes learns something in return. Despite the affection she shows to those under her care, she does not coddle them and will take matters into her own hands if she deems it necessary.

She has long blonde hair and yellow-green eyes. In Shin Megami Tensei IV, she wears a red jacket with matching red pants, alongside what appears to be a black utility belt. Parts of her attire are swapped out for different pieces in Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse. Instead of pants, she now wears shorts alongside thigh boots with garters. Her black utility belt is replaced with a maroon belt that holds shotgun shells. Two new additions to her outfit are a yellow cape and green sunglasses. She wields a pistol in one hand and a shotgun in the other.

Shin Megami Tensei IV

Nozomi meets Flynn when he delivers the film she requested from Ueno. At first, she is mad at him for ruining her last photo, but upon realizing he has more film, she apologizes then introduces herself. She explains her love and interest in photography and gives Flynn a spare instant camera before heading out.

Later, she tries to ask for assistance to deal with Asura, who has been terrorizing folks north of Ueno. Flynn shows up, who she recognizes and notes his growing reputation in Tokyo. However, no one else comes to her aid, so she and Flynn head to fight Asura on their own. After killing the demon, she is impressed to learn firsthand that Flynn's reputation is well-deserved. But before she leaves, she notes that had he not been there, she likely would have died.

When a horde of Wicker Men invade Shinjuku, Nozomi takes it upon herself to rally together a group of Hunters to deal with the hordes. However, when Flynn is the only one to show up again, she vents out her frustrations regarding her fellow Hunters, annoyed that they will beg for her help yet cannot return the favor. She and Flynn then head out to fight the hordes themselves. However, every time they encounter a horde, Nozomi is constantly trapped inside one of the demons, forcing Flynn to rescue her. Eventually, she passes out from her repeated captures. When she wakes up, Flynn informs her of what happened while she was out: Flynn defeated the demon responsible for the hordes of Wicker Men in Shinjuku. She thanks him for saving her life and admits that he is a better Hunter than she is.

Eventually, a group of fairies approach Nozomi, asking for her help to summon Black Maria—a demon that was formerly the Lady Danu, the mother of the Tuatha De Denann. However, she is unable to do so as an army of angels have appeared to stop her. She privately calls Flynn to St. Nicholas Cathedral to fight the angels as she begins the summoning process. With Flynn's help, she is able to successfully summon Black Maria, whom offers the Hunter the position of leader of the fairies as the demon cannot fulfill the role herself. Although taken aback by the proposal, Nozomi decides to accept the role and is granted Danu's powers. Afterwards, she thanks Flynn for all the help he has provided but tells him that she will continue on her path to protect the fairies on her own from now on.
