Profile
Origin
Therion (θηρίον thēríon) is Greek for "beast". In the Book of Revelation, there are three beasts: one from the sea (which is wounded and healed), one from the earth (the false prophet whose number is 666), and one ridden by the Whore of Babylon. Occultist Aleister Crowley identified himself with the beasts and called himself "Master Therion".

The name of the beast the mystic Aleister Crowley called himself. It refers to the beast that appears in the Book of Revelations.[sic]? According to Revelations,[sic] Therion is the enemy of humanity, a beast with the power and authority of Satan. Therion is said to have come from the sea, possessing seven heads with ten horns, the body of a leopard, and the legs of a bear. A second beast with lamb's horns comes from the earth, forcing men to worship the beast from the sea. All must wear the mark of the beast, 666, on their hand of forehead, otherwise they cannot buy or sell goods. |
