Sera is a major character and deuteragonist of Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner, and a playable protagonist in Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner 2. The catalyst to the games plot is her crash landing as a meteor in the Junkyard. Her origins are mysterious and her singing quells hunger

Sera, also known as Seraphita and Cyber Shaman, is an extremely meek and caring girl, she first appears in Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner as a mysterious girl to the Embryon tribe, where she is held in their base, and later in a special hideout. She is said to be the path to Nirvana and as such is highly sought after by the other tribes, who attempt to kidnap her.

Sera's role in the Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner is to calm down the Embryon members while in their demon state from going berserk and devouring each other, she does this by singing her special song, known as her Prayer, as shown in an early game cutscene, where she stops Gale from devouring Cielo, both being members of the Embryon tribe.
