Ophanim is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.
Profile
Origin
Ophanim (singular: ophan) are the wheels (ophanim in Hebrew) of God's chariot in the Book of Ezekiel, which are interpreted as a class of angel in later writings. Thrones are often identified with the ophanim.
Design
The Ophanim's design appears to be based on the descriptions of the four living creatures (cherubim) in Chapter 1 and Chapter 10 of the Book of Ezekiel, rather than the description of the ophanim themselves in the same book. The Ophanim of Megami Tensei is depicted as a non-humanoid robot with four bird's wings and four heads: the head of a man with the text "T-OFA" on it at the front, the head of a lion on its left, the head of an ox on its right, and the head of an eagle on its top.
