Heat is a character in the Digital Devil Saga. He is a member of the Embryon, one of the five core Tribes of the Junkyard.
Profile
Prior to the events at Ground Zero, Heat is as placid as the other members of the Embryon, and does not hesitate to carry out orders as he is instructed to. After awakening to his Atma form, Agni, however, his demeanor drastically changes — brash, bloodthirsty, and hotheaded as his name implies, Heat is a skilled combatant with a newfound tendency to disobey orders. His behaviors and emotions become increasingly volatile throughout the game's events. He develops a fixation on protecting Sera that he does not fully understand, as well as the competitive urge to prove he is stronger than Serph. Often leaving the party abruptly and returning later on, Heat demonstrates not only a high capacity for insubordination, but also a recklessness that his comrades find troubling.
Heat's physical appearance matches his fiery personality; he has a toned build with pronounced biceps, broad shoulders, a sharp jawline, and shoulder-length, wavy scarlet hair with matching eyes. His Atma is called the "Fireball", shown as a sharp-toothed burning head branded into his right arm.
