Game Appearances
Persona 5
Ryuji first meets the protagonist on 4/11 during the rain after Kamoshida picks up Ann in his car. Ryuji calls him a "pervy teacher". He then approaches the protagonist in an intimidating manner in fear of him ratting him out to Kamoshida. After realising the protagonist is a transfer student Ryuji describes Kamoshida as being the "king of a castle." Unknowingly activating the metaverse navigator with the keywords "Kamoshida", "Shujin" and "castle". There are no abnormalities until the pair head straight to Shujin academy. Ryuji is concerned when the school has been replaced by a mysterious European castle and decides to investigate. Once the pair are inside the castle they are captured by the guards and thrown in Jail, there they are confronted by Shadow Kamoshida who orders his execution. Before he is executed, Ryuji is saved when the protagonist awakens to his Persona, the guards are defeated and Ryuji locks Kamoshida in the cell they were originally held.
The Duo comes across Morgana a bizarre black and white cat like creature. After they rescue him from his cell he helps them escape with his guidance and persona Zorro.

Persona 5 Tactica
A boy who became a notorious troublemaker. He awakened his Persona when he wandered into the Metaverse with the protagonist. He eventually became friends with the protagonist, who sympathized with him through his own similar circumstances, and together they founded the Phantom Thieves of Hearts, fighting against corrupt adults. Ryuji quick to put up his fists, but is also filled with compassion. When he sees a friend in need or someone who is oppressed, he and his sense of justice and bravery is willing to stand up to any opponent. His Persona is Captain Kidd.
