Yog-Sothoth is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.
Profile
Origin
Yog-Sothoth is a character in the works of H. P. Lovecraft. Shub-Niggurath is his wife[1] and Wilbur Whateley is his son.[2]
Yog-Sothoth, along with Cthulhu, is one of the deities worshipped by the mad Arab Abdul Alhazred, who would go on to write Kitab al-Azif in AD 730.[3] Within the text is an incantation to summon Yog-Sothoth to back to Earth, which Wilbur Whateley would frantically attempt to achieve in The Dunwich Horror before he and his brother were killed.[2] Within The Dunwich Horror itself, Yog-Sothoth is said to be the deity that knows the gate between the realm of the Outer Gods and the human world, a fusion of past, present, and future, thus heavily implied to be an omniscient being.[2]
