"Training Exercise I" is a Quest in Shin Megami Tensei IV.
Overview
After detecting a demon in the 1st Stratum of Naraku, Burroughs registers the practical training exercise given by Hope as a quest. Since this is the first quest of the game, Burroughs offers to explain how storyline quests work.
The demon in question will always be a Lham Dearg accompanied by a Slime. This encounter serves as a tutorial for the Press Turn system.
After the demons are defeated, Flynn levels up, and Burroughs will offer to explain how leveling up works, as well as what the App Points he just gained are for.
After that, Hope congratulates Flynn for surviving his first encounter with demons, and the quest is completed.
