"The Deal in the Forest" is a Challenge Quest in Shin Megami Tensei IV.

Overview

This quest is available from K's Tavern after completing "An Important Rendezvous".^{[citation needed]}

Visiting the clearing on the west side of Kiccigiorgi Forest while the quest is active causes Flynn to get the feeling that he's being watched. He is then approached by a sharp-eyed man. When Flynn asks him about the quest, the man recognizes him as a former Casualry, and introduces himself as Rodolfo, a stonemason from O'Gickbough. Since Flynn was a Casualry, Rodolfo decides that he can be trusted; according to him, what he's asking for is the kind of thing one would require the assistance of a Samurai for, but aren't necessarily things the Monastery would approve of. He tells Flynn that there are Casualries that need the relics from the world below, and that he wants him to help these people out. If Flynn feels like helping with this requests, then he can talk to Rodolfo there later.

With that, the quest is completed.
