Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner Gaiden: Chinkon no Aika is a novel in the Devil Summoner series, and a side-story to Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner: Fūin Sareshi Tamashii (and by extension Shin Megami Tensei: Devil Summoner) focusing on the ancient Princess Inaruna of the Hata clan in ancient Japan. It was written by Ryō Suzukaze and published by Aspect in 1996.

Inaruna-hime o meguru ruisha no monogatari

Kodai ni atta tosareru, Hatauji no kuni. Kumiko wa, aru hi o sakai ni sono ōkoku no hime, Inaruna no yume o mihajimeru. Soshite, koibito to yoku nita Dumuji toiu seinen to deai, hikareau. The story of the tears shed for Princess Inaruna

The country of the Hata clan is said to have existed in ancient times. Kumiko one day begins to have dreams of that kingdom's princess, Inaruna. She then meets and is charmed by a young man named Dumuzi who looks just like her boyfriend. Is this a dream, or is this reality? Is Inaruna me? While undergoing Inaruna's vicarious experience, Kumiko feels herself gradually coming under someone's control. The tragic tale of Inaruna unknown to anyone begins!
