The Mandala System is the authority that maintains the order of the universe in Shin Megami Tensei V.
Profile
The Mandala System is the entity behind the cycle of world recreation. After a Nahobino claims the Throne of Creation and establishes a new world, a Da'at will inevitably form, sparking a resurgence of the battle of the gods for the Throne. This will ultimately lead to acting ruling god, and the subsequent recreation of the world by the next Nahobino in an endless cycle.[1][2]
The Mandala System is an aspect of the Phenomenon, which is a concept in Shin Megami Tensei V that is associated with the cycle of world recreation and the beings who serve it.[1][3]

The Mandala System is exclusively mentioned by Lucifer, who describes it as a "spatial governing phenomenon" guiding the flow of history. After defeating the Creator, Lucifer consumed his Knowledge, and learned of the true nature of the universe by becoming part of the Phenomenon[a] himself. Once the Nahobino claims the Throne of Creation, Lucifer asks them to defeat him and likewise consume his own Knowledge, as his transformation will allow the Nahobino to free the universe from Phenomena and was the reason for his transcendence. However, ultimately, it is left unclear whether Lucifer's plan will be truly successful.[1][2][4]

On The End route, once the Nahobino reaches the Throne of Creation, Tao Isonokami states that his actions defy the rules dictated by the Mandala System.[5]
After defeating the final boss in the Canon of Vengeance, Mastema will confirm that Lucifer's plan to free the world from Phenomenon was successful, but only for that specific parallel world.[6] Later, Satan reiterates this saying that the freedom of a single world from Phenomenon means little when compared to the totality of the multiverse still under it's control. However, the Nahobino's actions have brought light to new possibilities that according to Satan, cannot be ignored, so he must test the Nahobino on the system's behalf.[7] After Satan is defeated, his curiosity is piqued and he becomes interested to see how the Nahobino could affect Phenomena in the future. Finally, he commends the Nahobino and pushes him to continue freeing worlds from the Phenomenon.[8]
