Tiara is a recurring type of Shadow in the Persona series.

Profile

Machines were introduced in Persona 4. They resemble robots and wield swords, similar to the figure on the Rider-Waite Justice card, and have masks that have "VIII" written on them to further their connection to the Justice Arcana. Additionally, the characters on their shoulders (Japanese: 正義, romanized Seigi) translate to Justice.

Machines showing up in the TV World was caused by mecha anime fans watching the Midnight Channel. Since the first place they show up in is Void Quest, the thoughts of Mitsuo Kubo also played a role in their creation.
