Katsuhiko Sato is usually found in the computer room. When the school is first thrust into the Makai, he frantically attempts to find a connection to any network and dismisses the Protagonist's presence. However, once the Protagonist and their partner become fully equipped and pass by the computer room, they see Sato being attacked by a Preta. After defeating it, the party goes into the computer room and are thanked by Sato, who explains he was trying to connect to a network to gather some information when he connected to a suspicious one containing a strange program. When he tried running it, the Preta came out. Not wanting anything else to do with it, he gives the Protagonist a disc with the program on it, sure that they can get some use out of it. If the Protagonist has a broken floppy disc found on the floor, Sato will inquire about it and attempt to fix it. Otherwise, when the Protagonist visits the computer room, he will always ask if they wish to save their game.
After the Protagonist reaches level 20, they can return to the school to find Sato running away from yet another demon, this time a Cerberus that was trapped in the floppy disc. After defeating the Cerberus, Sato thanks the Protagonist for saving him again.
In Yumi's ending, if the party visits the computer room, Sato thanks them for saving the school, glad to have been able to help them even a little bit.
