Hatsune Miku: Colorful Stage!

This game had a collaboration with Persona 5 Royal. Hatsune Miku dressed as the character Violet in a music video for "Life Will Change".

Trivia

  • According to creator Wataru Sasaki, during Miku's original development for Vocaloid 2 in 2006-2007, he was significantly inspired by Shigenori Soejima's style and design for Aigis from Persona 3 (which was new at the time), to the point he considered sending an email.[4] This also was part of the reason he asked LAM, a pseudonymous illustrator who apparently joined Atlus due to admiring Soejima, to redesign Miku for Vocaloid 6.[5]
  • When creating Miku's dance for Persona 4: Dancing All Night, the choreographers ignored how her twintails might realistically affect her dance as they thought it would make her movements seem too constrained.[6]

Nomenclature

According to Crypton Future Media, the name Hatsune Miku means "The First Sound from the Future."[1] Hatsune Miku's Chinese name substitutes the kanji 未来 Miku, a homograph of the Japanese noun 未来 mirai ("future"), for the katakana in her given name.

Translation: "As side note, back when the project first started (last winter), the image I had for Vocaloid 2 kept overlapping with that of Aigis from Persona 3, and I almost sent a serious email to a certain designer at Atlus—but let's keep that between us. Also, when determining the direction for Vocaloid 2, I was heavily influenced by the concept of game titles that fuse niche elements—like Persona 3 and Wizardry XTH—with pop design aesthetics. Yes." 5. Translation: "Sasaki: Also, another fundamental aspect is that, during the first development back in 2007, I wanted to incorporate a style similar to that of Shigenori Soejima from the Persona series into the virtual singer. I guess that was influenced by Aigis (a character from Persona 3). That was one of the reasons I chose LAM. I knew that LAM had joined Atlus (the company that makes Persona) because he admired Soejima. After learning about LAM, I had always wanted to ask for his help someday, and I spoke with him once through a mutual acquaintance. He has an overwhelming ability to understand and articulate things, and communication was very smooth because he was able to align perspectives and intentions. He is analytical, or rather, he has a meta perspective and a sense of how things are structured, rather than relying on emotions or intuition. I became confident that I could ask him for help in that respect as well, and that's how I arrived at this request.
