Gulltoppr (from Old Norse, meaning "golden mane") is a horse in Norse mythology mentioned in the Poetic Edda and Prose Edda. The latter describes it specifically as the horse of Heimdall, though this is theorized by some to be an addition by the Prose Edda's compiler Snorri Sturluson to systematize Norse myth.[1]
