In the Neutral route, it is mentioned that the Creator plans to use Leviathan once again to cause another flood, implying that he had previously used it to start the Great Flood.[1]

Trivia
- There are conflicting dates for the Great Flood. In Shin Megami Tensei II's manual and in Shin Megami Tensei: 20XX, it is said to occur in 203X,[2][3] but in Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine and in the book Megami Tensei Jūnenshi, it's said to occur in 202X.[4][5]
- In Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine, "Great Cataclysm" collectively refers to the ICBMs hitting Tokyo and the Great Flood.[6]
