"A Way of Life" is the theme from Persona 3 Portable. It is composed by Shoji Meguro, with lyrics written by Reiko Tanaka and vocals by Mayumi Fujita. The song is track #02 on the Persona 3 Portable Original Soundtrack.
A remix titled "A way of Life - Deep inside my mind Remix" was arranged by Meguro exclusively for the Portable soundtrack, closing off the album at track #10. This rendition of the song features as the opening theme in Persona 5: The Phantom X during the crossover with Portable.
A remix without vocals was created for the Persona 3 Portable Voice Mix Arrange. This version was arranged by sanodg, a composer known for his work on the Ridge Racer and Tekken soundtracks. The remix, titled "A Way of Life/When The Moon's Reaching Out Stars," is a mashup blending the melody of "A Way of Life" and the backing drum beat from "When The Moon's Reaching Out Stars," arranged as an energetic EDM track. As with other songs on the album, voices of the characters from Portable are interspersed during the interludes between the choruses.
The song received a third remix by Atsushi Kitajoh for Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight, titled as "A Way of Life (ATLUS Kitajoh Remix)" in-game.
Lyrics
Lyrics for the original version were included in the Persona 3 Portable Original Soundtrack booklet.
