Shin Megami Tensei if...
Nova is a virtual fortune teller seen at the start of a new playthrough. She presents the player with a personality quiz that will determine the protagonist's initial stats. Each answer chosen grants a certain number of points, and the total of points at the end will assign the protagonist one of four stats spread: Power, Speed, Balance, or Luck. The quiz consists of ten questions, but an additional eleventh question will be asked if the player has scored 21 or more points after the tenth question.

Nova is depicted and mentioned by name on the back of the Ayakashi Monthly issue that Hijiri gives the player, who can then offer it to Chiaki Tachibana in the Shinjuku Medical Center.
