The Junkyard is the main setting of Digital Devil Saga: Avatar Tuner. Per the name, it is a wasteland filled with junk ruled by tribes perpetually at war with each other. It is governed by laws dictated by the Karma Temple. The inhabitants of the Junkyard are emotionless at the beginning of the game but once Atma is introduced to their world, they awaken to emotions and gain memories of things and concepts which don't exist in the Junkyard
