Al Azif is an Arabic word that roughly translates to "whistling of the wind" and is the original name of the Necronomicon, a fictional grimoire created by American horror author H. P. Lovecraft.

Gameplay

Persona 5 Royal

Beginning 1/15, once rank 10 of Futaba's Confidant is reached, the protagonist may talk to her to evolve Prometheus into Al Azif.

Futaba is the only party member whose Persona evolutions have different stats; when evolving, her stats adjust to the new Persona's corresponding values for her current level, with any increases from Jazz Jin carrying over. Futaba's Personas are also able to learn unique skills compared to other party members if she is invited to Jazz Jin on Sunday; for more info, see Jazz Jin#Skills.
