Origin

Redcaps are bloodthirsty entities said to occupy the Anglo-Scottish border, mainly in ruined castles with histories of violence and evil deeds. Their iconic red caps are soaked with the blood of their victims, though they also serve as a weak point, killing the wearer if the blood goes dry. Redcaps toss stones and make strange noises to lure unsuspecting victims into their castle lairs, then murder them in close combat.

Design

In Giten Megami Tensei: Tokyo Revelation, Redcap is a green-skinned goblin with a red cap and yellow tunic.

In Devil Children Light Book and Dark Book and Devil Children Fire Book and Ice Book, it is an elderly man whose face is obscured by a three-pointed hat, with only a round nose and white beard sticking out from underneath. It wears a red suit with green sleeves which expose its crimson claws.
