Volos is a Demon in the Megami Tensei franchise.
Profile
Origin
According to the Tale of Bygone Years (also known as the Primary Chronicle), Volos[a] was a deity of the Rus’ associated with cattle. He is mentioned twice: the first mention is when Oleg of Kyiv and his men swear by their weapons, by Perun, and by Volos to keep peace with the Byzantine emperor Leo VI and his brother Alexander, and the second is in a similar oath by Sviatoslav.
Based on Indo-European comparative studies, some scholars have attempted to reconstruct a myth where Perun and Volos were in opposition, though there is no mention of this in primary sources, and the two were both sworn by in conjunction with one another.
