Potential soundtrack category expansion.

Overall Category

Albums

I think the usage of the term "soundtrack" for the entire category should be changed to "albums", since all soundtracks are albums, but not all albums are soundtracks (explained below). This would require some changes that (preferably) a staff member would do in bulk. This would be the primary category that everything else is bundled under

Sub-categories

Singles

For albums that contain 1-3 songs, sometimes going up to 6 in some cases. The focus of the album is usually on one song, which it is usually named after. This can be used in combination with the descriptive categories, like Remix Albums, below. This is typically used for vocal tracks for TV shows. The pages will typically need to have the (Album) distinguisher in the title to separate them from the pages about the songs themselves. Examples:

Soundtracks

This would be used for albums dedicated primarily to music originally used in another piece of media. The soundtrack doesn't need to have every single song from the game to be added to this category, but it should have the vast majority of them. These albums can contain bonus tracks, but the majority of the songs must be the soundtrack to some other media. Examples:

Partial Soundtracks

This would be used for albums that are essentially a "greatest hits" of tracks from a single source. Primarily meant for pre-order bonuses and EP previews published to streaming services.

Remix Albums

Used for albums that are are fully filled with unique remixes of songs originally created for another media. It can also be used alongside the Soundtracks or Partial Soundtrack category for albums that contain a remix/arrangement disc alongside the normal soundtrack disc, or if the soundtrack itself is primarily made up of remixes (eg. The Dancing games). Albums containing singular bonus tracks that happen to be remixes don't qualify an album for this. Examples:

Examples that would be both Remix Albums and Soundtracks:

Compilation Albums

Used for albums that feature songs from multiple pieces of media. Full soundtracks for multiple media in one album do not qualify for this, but compilation albums can feature songs from only 2 games. Examples:

Examples that would not count, since they're multiple full soundtracks put in one package:

Live Albums

Mainly for the Persona Super Live. Anything originally recorded at a concert before an audience and later packaged as an album. Also includes studio recordings of renditions created for live performances.
