| Reason: Missing info on what happens if Yuji refuses to reply to the first question and many others. |
Balam appears at the Gates of Hell where he tells Yuji Kashiwagi and Nagisa Mannata that finally a son of man has set foot into the lands of the Makai.
After he's defeated he will ask Yuji what does he think about his own existence: a ruler of the world, a wandering fool or a weakling without any power? To which Yuji can say he doesn't know, reply to the question or refuse to reply, if he says that he doesn't know then Balam will get mad at Yuji and will say that he is a dissapointment, so that there'll be no more questions and so Balam dies.
If Yuji replies to the question Balam will ask if he's a foold who wanders endlessly, if he's a fool who is caught up in with what is in front of him and has no vision of what lies beyond tomorrow, if so why think? Why not just stand there before the answer that someone else has prepared for him and why he continues to immerse himself in non-existent nonsense like making "his own path". After saying that Yuji gets the chance to reply again to said question, to which he can say humans always find their own path, say he doesn't know or say that it's because that's just how humans are. If he replies with the first option being to which humans always find their own path, Balam will say that in the path with no return he sees hope and that even if all that awaits him at the end if despair he's going to keep searching for a path?
