Template:Exp App
Purpose
Tooltip template used to specify where certain information is applicable or true to by listing relevant media titles when hovered over or tapped on mobile. The tooltip, displayed as a small demon icon, will display a list of linked media pages.
By default, the template lists video game media by their specified abbreviations as parameters, with each abbreviation separated by a comma , (a space can optionally be added after the comma for readability). For instance, typing {{Exp App|SMT1, P5R}} will render the tooltip as 
Shin Megami Tensei
Persona 5 Royal
and list the video games Shin Megami Tensei and Persona 5 Royal. In order to list non-game media, the corresponding media type must be specified as a named parameter, followed by the abbreviation(s). For example: adding manga=P4M will add the Persona 4: The Magician manga to the tooltip as Persona 4: The Magician
. Video game media will always be listed first.
Platforms and other notes can be added in parentheses after the abbreviation, e.g. {{Exp App|SMT1 (SFC)}} will output Shin Megami Tensei (Super Famicom)
, and {{Exp App|P5 (Shadow)}} will output Persona 5 (Shadow)
. A space must be present before the left parenthesis. To escape platform abbreviations and put the literal text, put a backslash before it: {{Exp App|SMT1 (\SFC)}} will output Shin Megami Tensei (SFC)

For listing a single game platform, use Template:Exp Plat. To display any other information in a tooltip icon, use Template:Exp.
Usage
This tooltip has a theoretically infinite number of slots.
The displayed link in the tooltip can be changed to clarify the corresponding media type by adding a + or a - immediately after the abbreviation. A + will add the media type in parentheses to the link, while a - will add the type in lowercase. For examples: adding manga=P5+ will render the link as Persona 5 (Manga) in the tooltip, while manga=P5- will render as Persona 5 manga. The former is preferred for tooltips.
Other parenthetical parts of page names can be used with *, e.g. MTT* will output as Digital Devil Story: Megami Tensei (Telenet).
Exp tooltips should immediately follow any punctuation if one is present.
