Salmael may be derived from "Samael", one of the names of the Demiurge in the Gnostic text Hypostasis of the Archons.

Design

Salmael appears as a giant metallic angel with massive wings. Its body is white with gold accents, and resembles military uniforms worn by Hussars during the Napoleonic era. Gold medals with red and green ribbons are worn around its neck, and ornate epaulettes are worn on its shoulders. Salmael's head, adorned with a golden crown, is detached from the neck and floats above its hands near the torso. Its face is normally at rest, and a black visor with a single closed eyelid sits where its eyes would be. This face is simply a mask, however; its true face with red eyes and a mouth full of teeth is underneath.
