The Quiz Costume is a recurring cosmetic outfit in the Persona series.

Profile

The Quiz Costume was first introduced in Persona 4 Golden as the uniform Teddie wears while hosting the Midnight Trivia Miracle Quiz. While it is not able to be equipped during gameplay in Golden, the outfit was added to Persona 4: Dancing All Night as a costume. The hat is a reference to Ultra Quiz, the Japanese quiz TV show that the Miracle Quiz is named after, where contestants wore similar looking hats.

Nomenclature

The Midnight Trivia Miracle Quiz is a parody of the Japanese game show Trans American Ultra Quiz where the goal was to win a trip to New York. The host, Akira Fukuzawa, had the catchphrase, "Aim for New York" (ニューヨークへジャストミート！ Nyū yōku e jasuto mīto), that combined the prize with wasei-eigo baseball terminology. As the Mirale Quiz host, Teddie parodies Fukuzawa and says a shortened version of the catch phrase which is where the Japanese name of his outfit comes from. In the English version of Golden, Teddie's version of Fukuzawa's phrase was translated as "Bullseye" and he calls himself "Bullseye Teddison".
