Kondo
Kondo is a minor character in Persona 4. He is a PE teacher at Yasogami High School.
Profile
Kondo is a PE teacher at Yasogami High School. Due to the lack of teachers at the school, he is also an English teacher with his only qualification being that he spent a week in an English speaking country before.[1]

Persona 4
Kondo first appears on April 18th and introduces himself to class 2-2 as their PE teacher and English teacher. Throughout the school year, Kondo will periodically quiz his class about English words and health science to make sure they were paying attention. He tends to mention food and make his questions related to food.[2] In December, after a thick fog settles in Inaba, Kondo tells the class he watched a TV show that says the fog gets bad in Inaba every 50 years.[3]
Kondo advises both the basketball and soccer clubs.[4] When the protagonist joins a sports club for the Strength Social Link, Kondo will introduce him to the other club members before going to check on the other sports club. He appears again during the Strength Social Link to introduce Ai Ebihara as the team manager.
Persona 4 Golden
In January, Kondo brings up food in the classroom once more, this time in relation to New Years.[5]
Trivia
- Due to Kondo being the English teacher, the Japanese version of the game writes him using occasional English phrases such as when he greets the class on April 25th.[6]
