Keisuke Komatsubara,also known as Mareya Kujou, is a character in Persona: Trinity Soul. He is the founder of the Marebito.

He was invited to a Persona research institute operated by a corporation, but left due to ethical concerns. He continued his research named Tethys Project with like-minded scientists under the pretext of connecting people's minds. It was sponsored by those who sought to dominate the people's unconsciousness by completing a Fukugō Persona.[2] However, his own goal was to use it to separate people's minds from the Whale, which dominates people's unconsciousness as the sea of the unconscious itself, ultimately saving humanity's unconscious.[3][4]
But after his daughter's death, he ultimately crossed the line himself. He performed brain surgery on Jun Kanzato and Yuki Kanzato in an experimental attempt to stabilize a Persona without a Suppressant. Ryo Kanzato, who was founding a Persona-user special forces unit, met him as a Persona researcher and executed him upon discovering his sin.[4][5][6]
Although he died five years ago before the events of Persona: Trinity Soul, he still exists, consumed by and fused with his own Persona. His true goal is to create his ideal world and bring his daughter back to life.[4][7]

He uses the pseudonym Mareya Kujou, orders Marebito to gather Personas under the pretext of saving the unconscious. He plans to stabilize the Personas collected by the Marebito using Jun Kanzato's Persona, and to extract his daughter from the Whale with Shin Kanzato's Persona.[8]
Trivia
- The producer claimed that Keisuke's goals were to create his ideal world and bring his daughter back to life, whereas the Persona: Trinity Soul Visual Book claimed that his sole goal is to bring his daughter back.[7][9]
