Gyokukou Joutei is a Persona in the Persona series.
Profile
Origin
The Jade Emperor[a] is a supreme deity in Daoism and one of many in Chinese folk religion. He is associated with numerous foundational myths. For example, he is credited with the creation of the Chinese zodiacs, such as Chenlong, by dividing the years among them following ruling Earth from Heaven and forgetting what the animals looked like.[1] Folk tales also tell of the Yellow, Black, Long, and Pearl Dragons making rain occur following a ten-day drought, leading to the people giving thanks, but in them acting out of line, being sealed by the Jade Emperor to form rivers across China to ensure the people are never without water again; they thereby became the Yellow River, Heilongjiang, Yangtze (Changjiang), and Zhu/Pearl River.
In Journey to the West, the Jade Emperor played a part in the banishment of Sun Wukong from Heaven.
