Main article: Gryas (Last Bible II)

Gryas is a central figure in Last Bible II whose imminent reincarnation is foretold by Medoch to the king of Magoku. Fearing disaster as Gryas is said to be responsible for the destruction of the Fifth Planet, the king ordered on Medoch's advice that all children born on a specific date be killed in an attempt to thwart the reincarnation of Gryas. Yūri and Larsa, the only two survivors and close friends, realize that one them must be the reincarnation of Gryas. Larsa, believing himself to be the one, eventually creates Makai, where he is defeated by Yūri. Afterwards, Larsa reveals that he knew from the beginning that the true reincarnation of Gryas was Yūri, and hands him the Staff of El, returning his memories of being Gryas to him. Following these events, it is revealed that Gryas did not destroy the Fifth Planet but defended it alongside the previous reincarnations of Safia, Esau, Zodia, Krau and Ganzu from the threat of Black Gaia, the force that ultimately succeeded in destroying the Fifth Planet.
