The Gauntlet Rite is an event in Shin Megami Tensei IV. Hosted once every year in the Eastern Kingdom of Mikado, the event recruits new Samurai to become the defenders of the kingdom.

All new eighteen-year-olds are lined up at Aquila Plaza and are asked to touch a specialized Gauntlet. If the gauntlet turns on, they are formally recruited into service.
