Nomenclature
Damascus is based upon the city of the same name. Arnaud Hospicium likely comes from Arnaldus de Villa Nova, a physician and alleged alchemist whose name could also be written as Arnaud. While his home featured many alchemical symbols carved into the door, his status as an alchemist is debated, as several alchemical works that were written under his name were later proven inauthentic.
