Fuuka Yamagishi is a major character in Persona 3. She is a second year student at Gekkoukan High School and one of the members of S.E.E.S. by spring of 2009. In game, she serves as a navigator and does not engage in combat, replacing Mitsuru Kirijo after a certain time.

Profile

Fuuka is a timid student at Gekkoukan High School who is a victim of bullying. After initially going missing from school, she becomes a member of S.E.E.S. and takes over Mitsuru's role as the primary navigator. She comes from a family of mostly doctors, though neither of her parents work in the profession. She is handy with technology and computers, and is more interested in technology-related fields than she is in medicine. She is notably clumsy when it comes to cooking and baking due to her continuously mistaking ingredients for one another.

During Persona 3, Fuuka has short hair and wears a teal patterned turtleneck shirt with white ribbons under her Gekkoukan uniform. In Persona 3 Reload, she also wears a black mantle and headphones over her school uniform as her battle attire. By the time of Persona 4 Arena, she has grown out her hair long and wears it in a braid, and is seen in a long white tunic shirt with black pants and ankle boots.

Gameplay

For complete gameplay information, see Gameplay:Fuuka Yamagishi.

Fuuka is available as a party member starting from June 8th, replacing Mitsuru's previous role as the primary navigator. Fuuka does not engage in combat directly, but instead specializes in analysis and support during battle. She is able to scan an enemy's affinities and skills, while also having her own skills that can support the party. As a Social Link, she is available as the Priestess for the male protagonist and later the female protagonist in Persona 3 Portable.

Fuuka later appears in Persona Q and Persona Q2, as well as one of the main dancers in Persona 3: Dancing in Moonlight.
