Origin: Scandinavia - An earth spirit with a boorish appearance. They live underground and are excellent blacksmiths who live in houses of gold. It's also said that they roam hills and valleys on nights of the midnight sun.
Shin Megami Tensei III:
Nocturne
An ugly, violent giant of Scandinavian myth. It is often portrayed as a creature that lives under bridges. It is incredibly strong, but easily outsmarted.
Shin Megami Tensei: Imagine Earth sprites of Norse legend. They originate from the race of giants in Norse mythology.

Trolls are sometimes identified with dwarves as skilled blacksmiths. They are described as large, hideous, ill-mannered, and stupid. They are said to live in houses made of gold and crystal, and often venture out in the hills and fields in the whit nights of summer.

Devil Survivor A vulgar giant that appears in various European folklore. They have large noses and ears and are terribly ugly.

They are physically strong but imbecilic, so they are frequently bested by those weaker than them but more clever. Since their bodies regenerate even when severely injured, their race are all natural fighters.

Their origin is said to be the race of giants in Norse lore.

Devil Survivor 2 A giant that appears frequently in European folklore. It is often depicted blocking the way of a bridge or narrow road.

Although strong, it is stupid, so it has been defeated many times by weaker humans. Its regenerative abilities suit it to close combat.

Trolls are believed to have originated from the giants of Norse mythology.
