Kaya-no-Hime is a reworked version of an unused design from Shin Megami Tensei IV: Apocalypse.[1]
According to designer Masayuki Doi, Kaya-no-Hime resembles a straw doll as a reference to the Japanese word "Kaya," which refers to the dried straws used in thatch roofs.
